    Peter V'landys - New NRL/ARLC Chairman

Correct and surprisingly that game that we always compare ourselves to because they are well run took the power away from the clubs. Jeff Kennett is always whinging they have no power. Yet the overall game is doing very well. Clubs always put themselves first.

It has no real independence every decision is based on what's good for the broadcasters. The feel good factor is very low.

Exactly, that's my point we have all these valuable assets yet we have no idea the worth of them and just bow down to our masters who tell us we should be grateful.

That was the give away from the start. I posted an article ages ago on how Murdoch got the NFL and one of his key strategies was dealing with a leader who lacked big picture vision eg. like dopey V'landys. https://hbr.org/2019/04/rupert-murdoch-the-nfl-and-the-negotiation-that-remade-tv

We under value the markets we have strongest penetration in. No sport other then cricket has reach into the massive lucrative market that is western Sydney.

V'landys virtually did the deal in a week at the worst possible time at least he is helping them out with their gambling arm.

More like predictable with dopey Pete and the invisible man running the show. No wonder News Corp called him St. Pete.

Doesnt have to happen in the next 3 years. The game will grow alot over the coming years financially now we are partners with the enemy ie. news corp and nine

Agreed, I said on this forum years ago we should be aiming for 24 teams and have conferences. Grow the game as a whole.

    Welcome to the comp, Redcliffe.

They can grow that, strengthens the player pathways and international game. Way more potential growth then anywhere else outside 2 main league states.
