Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

I give Madge until Round 10. Working with Sheens as an advisor could be brilliant to rectify the little teething issues he has. Madge has his squad and $1 million in the war chest. If we're say 3-7 by round 10 and getting pasted, then he goes and we bring Toovey in.

Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Tariq Sims with some absolute MONGREL in the pack and the cheese from dummy half with Simpkin at 17 for a flurry at the end would be amazing. So amazing it won't happen. Further weight to Woodsy returning as well.

Match Discussion: Round 25 vs Canterbury @ Moreton Daily Stadium

And who signed Cleary in the first place? WHo forced his hand to give the ultimatum to Teddy and co.?

Match Discussion: Round 25 vs Canterbury @ Moreton Daily Stadium

And to think: Ivan was the problem, and he's now led Penrith to a minor premiership and 2nd place in 2 seasons. Wait, no, it was Benji, who has helped Souths on their way to 3rd. Sheens, Potter, Taylor, Cleary, Madge - can't just be the coaching. It's great to have the COE (should've been at...

Match Discussion: Round 25 vs Canterbury @ Moreton Daily Stadium

I had work stuff to prepare so I moved into my study at halftime and listened to it. We were an absolute f**king embarrassment today. That's not doing the 'effort' justice. Lethargic. Lazy. They couldn't be bothered. They had motivation to build off the Penrith game and finish strong, but got...

    NRLW - 2021

Well she's not wrong in certain respects. That said, the girls aren't fulltime so having them all relocate to QLD for 8 weeks wouldn't be sustainable in terms of their regular employment I feel.

    Anybody renewing their membership?

Wait, what? That sounds highly unbelievable - we were charged full price for this season. I'll stay as a member, I love my seats at our venues, and hopefully there's a positive turn soon.

The Game 2021 Jerseys, Sponsorship, Logos etc

re: Wests - it's why a lot of folks have pushed for an alternate strip that is mostly white so we avoid said clashes. 2014 iirc we had mainly Black for campbelltown, mainly orange for leichhardt and then the striped hoops for away/neutral venues. The hooped jersey is up there with one of my...

"It’s very realistic to say that we’ll have a second team in Brisbane in 2023": V'landys

Rumour has it that there's talks of Campbelltown being upgraded to a mini BankWest style (20k capacity) or a new stadium entirely built at Liverpool to be shared between Wests and Canterbury. The Campbelltown one has the enticement of an existing ground to be built upon and the co-funding of the...

Match Discussion: Round 24 vs Penrith @ Moreton Daily Stadium

Stefano is an absolute weapon. I was very pleased with the effort today, and even more excited that Mbye is finally gone after next week. That said, Bulldogs will probably get us next week

"It’s very realistic to say that we’ll have a second team in Brisbane in 2023": V'landys

It's highly possible that relocation of some teams could be the way forward as well for the mythical 'national' footprint that no code of football is yet to have in Australia (Cricket the only sport that has it). The question then is - who? Absolutely high risk of alienating rusted on fans...

    Super League News

A 14-team SL would be a wise decision. You'd think Toulouse & featherstone would walk those two spots, which then gives the 2022 Championship a huge kick up the arse in terms of competitiveness and openness. 12 team Championship with 11 team League 1 (pending that restructure).

"It’s very realistic to say that we’ll have a second team in Brisbane in 2023": V'landys

I still maintain that a second NZ team has more potential for it than a second Brisbane team. Saying that, of the bids put forth, I like the Firehawks & Dolphins the most and would be happy with either.

Match Discussion: Round 24 vs Penrith @ Moreton Daily Stadium

The only way to get through this is by playing a drinking game for every dropped ball, missed tackle and try. I think it will be ugly, especially given how we folded against Cronulla. I cannot for the life of me think why Madge persists in picking Mbye. 2 more games and he's finally gone. And...

Australia and New Zealand withdraw from RLWC

Inform me then you pelican. You seriously vouch for the Welsh? lmao

Australia and New Zealand withdraw from RLWC

And in contrast to the RU argument, there's only 4-5 strong nations in RU atm as well. NZ, South Africa, England, France and Ireland. Wales on the improve but inconsistent.

Match Discussion: Round 22 vs North Qld @ Queensland Country Bank Stadium

It was what it was. A win to prolong hope. Ref did all he could to get it interesting at the end (brooks sinbin, Simpkin penalised). It's a joke. We lack the killer edge and could've won by 30, which would've helped our points differential.

Match Discussion: Round 21 vs Canterbury @ Moreton Daily Stadium

Knowing Bellamy and the Storm system though he'd probably be absolutely killing it. Look at Reimis Smith this season.

2021 RM Cup & Sydney Shield

Got to feel it was always happening as soon as the cases started. Very unfortunate that there was no other option to at least get some conclusion to the seasons. Hopefully next year this virus is gone and we can have a full season.

Match Discussion: Round 21 vs Canterbury @ Moreton Daily Stadium

Mbye just has to go. Those errors he made, the poor defensive reads, I just want him gone, now. He can be ballboy for the last 4 games.
