    Amazing isn't it. Wasn't a greatcrowd but was expected. What's the average Canberra crowd in Sydney? Would make interesting reading I reckon...

    Plus we've let go Cherrington, Symonds, Takarangi, Leluia, Masoe and Tasi since last season ended. Before that players like Carney, Ryles, Graham, Conn etc.

    Double the price tickets to Grand Final- still nearly sold out already..

    I assume the members only allocation will still be available in the week of the GF? Usually 15k tix for members of the clubs in the GF. If so, I hope these are reasonable. Cost me $60 in 2010 which was great value.

    I actually recall that. A couple of other big crowds in both Dog Eel games that year. Freak attendances as the average for that entire year was less than 7k.

    Correct...although I don't know if doubling his salary is right, but it was supposedly "significant". Deserves every cent. As for the original question, the answer is no....for now.

    Glad you mentioned Liu as I was just about to. Thought he was tremendous yesrerday. Big chance of featuring in H.H's 321's for this week. Will watch the replay tonight to confirm. As for Maloney, it's been a different season for him. Robinson is demanding that he plays tougher than he ever has...

    I can't speak for Penrith, but at Easts the football club and leagues are, in their words, "intrinsically linked" with neither being able to survive without the other. I imagine this is the same across the other Sydney clubs. The Leagues club supports the footy club (which is why it was set...

    Last point is particularly salient and is big reason why I always stick up for our juniors etc. say what you like, but how Souffs have perpetuated this myth for so long p*sses me off. Souffs juniors do an awesome job...people just need to understand they are separate...Souffs in fact have...

    Thanks for the info. Sounds like they're doing a great job. As for the older ages, the problem is across the board. To give you an idea, when I played C grade (U19) in the late 80's we had 7 teams/clubs in the Easts only comp...good standard too. Souths in that same year had 12 C grade teams...

    2013 Memberships

    ??? Roosters were 13,751 about 6 weeks ago. Haven't seen an update since then, but I think they mentioned they'd cracked 14k at the Manly home game a few weeks back.

    Not sold on the Roosters yet...

    Don't see why not...we're over 14k this year and Parra are what, 16kish? We've increased memberships every years since 2007 while being mostly rubbish in that time. 3-4 years of sustained performance and who knows... Just scratching the surface I reckon.

    It's what we do...at least in the last 10 years or so. Wherever we end up this year, I really hope we can sustain the performance and be a contender for a few years to come. No reason we couldn't with the age of our roster. Sick of this up and down sh*t.
