Time for Wicks to step down....

After last nights game I reckon Wicks would struggle in the local comp. He is deadset useless. He takes the ball up like a feather duster. If Smith wants a big guy off the bench then Matt White must be wondering what he has to do. Someone said the other day we paid good money for this bloke, if...

    That's the season

I don't care if you've coached Australia, I'll stick by what I'm saying. Dureau has been impressive in all his games at 7 and 9 this year except last nights, and a lot of that can go down to the performance of the forwards (Simmo excepted). Gidley did not play a halbacks game against the...

Bailey Signs 3 Year $500,000 Deal With Manly

Spot on. There are some very fickle people on this forum.

    That's the season

You have no idea. Gidley might have been named at halfback but he didn't play a halfbacks game against the Roosters. He played as an extra dummy half, whenever he was calling the shots on the last play they were poor options and he certainly didn't direct the play. He has no decent last tackle...

    The game - some thoughts

Sorry but Dureau is our best 7 by a mile, and Mullen our best 6 by a mile, and Gidley our best fullback by a mile. One poor game (when apart from Simpson we had no forwards) doesn't call for his sacking. Don't under estimate Gidleys absence either. Dureau has the best short kicking game, is the...

    Dureau targets long-term reign

Yes in that respect, I was more looking at him ability wise. He never set the world on fire at the Dragons, and so far seems to be following the same path here. He IMO needs to decide if he's serious about being a first grade player, and if he is then start putting the work in. If we paid top...

    Dureau targets long-term reign

I have actually only pluralised upper level players once. Really that is an error on my part I was definately not being critical of Wes, and yes he is prob the only other player that you would call high profile. I wouldn't rate Wicks as high profile, he was a fringe first grader at best. I also...

    Dureau targets long-term reign

Well I'm with Perverse. I think the fringe guys have performed far better than the so called upper level players. In fact they've performed way above expectations. To be fair Cross hasn't had much opportunity, but if he's going to talk himself up like he did he needs to back it up soon.

    Dureau targets long-term reign

Correct, I just checked. For mine he hasn't lived up to anywhere near expectations. On field he certainly hasn't stood out above the other forwards we've used.

    Dureau targets long-term reign

From memory he's played two games.

    Dureau targets long-term reign

Cross has done nothing at the Knights to date. He had a shocker against the Storm, the rest of the time he's been injured. He's done a lot of talking but produced nothing for us yet. I wasn't real fussed when he came out the other day saying he was hoping to be back for the Roosters game so he...

    More money for EAS

I think it's around 35,000 v Manly way back, I was at that game packed in like sardines.

Where is the centre we are chasing?

There was a piece in last weekends Newcastle Herald saying that the Knights would be looking at some fringe first grade centres for next year, as they didn't really have the money for an established player.

    More money for EAS

Not sure about the roof. They raised the seating cap because they want to host world cup football games there if they get it.

    More money for EAS

Morris pledged a further $20million today, that goes with the $10Million last year. Ground capacity will be 33,000 when it's completed.

Let's get it together: Smith urges Knights to generate winning run

I went through our remaining games and realistically can only find 12 comp points, maybe 14, that puts us on 26 points at best. I don't think that'll be enough to get into the 8

Bailey Signs 3 Year $500,000 Deal With Manly

I sincerly hope we aren't paying Wicks that much. Royal showed heaps of potential in his first few games with us a few years ago. He then seemed to slip into the background for a while (that could be a result of Hagans selection policies at the time) He was sloppy at the start of this year and...

yet. Well like I said, we wont miss Cross, there's nothing to miss so far we haven't had him this year yet.

    Cross Has Broken Thumb

LOL Refreshed??? He hasn't done anything this year yet. He should be super refreshed now. I see his main concern seems to be about being ready for Origin 111! Reminds me of McDougals mindset a few years ago.
