Polglase's exit leaves Naiqama in No.1 frame

That's it. If you're right about Bailey at six then that'd knock Smiths preferance for Mullo there on the head.

Polglase's exit leaves Naiqama in No.1 frame

Yep I thought the same. I do know though that Smith thinks Mullo is best at 5/8th, didn't Bailey play some halfback last year in Premier league?

Polglase's exit leaves Naiqama in No.1 frame

Kidley started the year at fullback on fire in 2007, his performance there fell away a bit towards the end of the season though, prob through fatigue more than anything else. I'll admit, I thought it was a huge mistake playing him there to start with last year, but he had some outstanding games...

    Knights to lure Jets fans.

Couldn't agree with you more there Mac. The Jets play a very entertaining game, and they are one of the best passing teams in the A League, their popularity will continue rise as it has since the A Leagues inception.

    Lucas Miller

    Can't agree with that statement.

EXCLUSIVE: Knights, Wests at odds over ... $1m club loss

Unfortunately it is blatently obvious that compared to other clubs we are run by amateurs. We suffered last year for all the years of inactivity in the player market. When the one person who made everyone else look good departed, the team looked and played like the calibre of players we had...

    2008 - Your Thoughts?

I pretty much agree with all that's said here. I'm not expecting us to challenge at all, and to finish in the bottom half. We really do need to get some classy centres, as said above our backline at the moment is suspect, there's promise there but we need to be prepared for the fact that some of...

    2008 - Your Thoughts?

Why would we sign him?? My tip is he wont finish the season.

    Jodie McKay for Knights Board

In yesterdays Newcastle paper, and radio today was a story that Jodie McKay (Labour state member) will be standing for the Knights board at the next election. Don't know about you but I wont be voting for her. She's been very unimpressive since winning the seat gifted her by Morris Llema. Spends...

Abes speaks out, Sweeney joins Maquarie in Newcastle Competition

Those comments certainly apply to Tanner, but Abes?? get real, the bloke had one serious injury and came back to soon, prior to that he played virtually uninjured from 2000 through to 2005 was players player one year, country rep and is the 14th highest point scorer in the clubs history. I hope...

    Abes

I see in todays paper Daniel Son (Abraham) knocked back an offer to play in England, and has signed with the Storms Premier League feeder club based on the central coast. He says he could've earnt a lot more money in England, but wants to crack the NRL again. Good luck to him I say, I hope he...

    Newcastle Knights Signings/Re-signings thread

LOL, I thought exactly the same thing when I heard about that a few days ago. I agree with Mac, Seu Sue will be a star as long as he stays out of trouble. He was a stand out in flegg, and given his limited experience, did well in Firsts, especially his first game. Smith obviously sees his...

    Willy Mason

    Sums it up perfectly.

    Willy Mason

Mason thinks he's bigger than the game. If what is reported is correct, I wouldn't be letting him train for a pro boxing bout either, FFS the Dogs are paying him a heap of money to play footy, why would they give him permission to box? The more I see and hear of Mason the more I'm convinced he's...

    Congrats to Kurt

Kidley had a top game, very involved, as said threw some lovely balls that resuted in tries, was very unlucky not to get one himself, came from nowhere to gather a kick (as we know he can) and just couldn't control it. He'll be in the Aus team for some time to come I reckon.

    Final tips

I'm no Manly fan, but I dearly want them to win this weekend with Newton dropping the ball in his own in-goal and Manly scooping it up to plant the winning try!! gee that'b be sweet.
