Just wanted to say how sorry I feel for Luke...

Ricko hit a little rat named Nathan Fien for taking a cheap shot at one of his best friends (Freddy). He didn't deserve to miss the GF or Freddy's last game. They should have suspended his sentence and let him serve it next season.

    Willie Topou

Its obviously worth it then, Flegg and PL Premiers. And undefeated in Flegg. Swish !

    Can the Roosters recover?

They've been grooming Brett Finch. I realise not for the Five-eighth position but he took over the the main playmaker role and steered the team around more than Freddy. I wouldn't compare it to Johns out of the Knights. Freddy was out for SOO this year (yes i know for only one game but still)...

    Whats Pricey thinkin?

Andrew Ryan will captain for sure. He wasn't too bad in the Grand Final. Or when Price went off during the Preliminary Final.

    Finch?????? Are they Kidding?

Fien is a little rat who bit Shane Webcke then punched Brad Fittler (who wasn't looking at Fien). Both for absolutely no reason. I'm glad Ricko smashed the little fool. It was highly entertaining and he deserved it.

    GOULDS GOOSTERS

Get off our backs, you only beat us by 3 points. I don't see the Dogs making 3 Grand Finals in a row.

    Lincon Withers

Manly have a stronger forward pack next season with Kennedy and Kite signing. That's a very good start to rebuilding a contending side. Kite was the key signing IMO, really talented player. Lincoln Withers is still contracted to the Dragons isn't he?

Seriously - THIS team won the minor premiership?

Yeah the Roosters forwards were on fire in the second half of that First Grade match. Good old Moz clinched victory for us. In the Dragons v Roosters PL match i thought the Dragons didn't really show up to play. That and the bounce of the ball went the way of the Roosters on the day.

2 things i dont get about the roosters

It sends the message that the Roosters are looking for the Premiership that has eluded them for 2 seasons. They bought well. You can't replace Brad Fittler with a kid out of Flegg like Jamie Soward. Don't get me wrong, Soward is good. But Firman will lessen the blow of losing Freddy. With...

2005 trial matches - Knights @ Bathurst; Roosters @ Carrara

Go Roosters ! It'll be very interesting to see how we fare without Freddy. I'm tipping a Roosters victory ;-) Go Penni Panthers !

    Priddis is 100% correct

I think the Panthers were the best team in 2003, but only just. Stop saying that the Roosters 2002 Premiership is tainted because of the Dogs. The Dogs were leading the comp that year because they cheated, the Roosters were the best team in the end because they didn't cheat. Alas the Premiership.

    Ricko Goooorrrrrnnnnn

C'mon it was bad enough that Ricko missed the Grand Final and Freddy's last game. Ricko and Freddy are best mates and missing Freddy's last game was like missing 10 club games for Ricko. 1) Why didn't Fien get charged for striking Fittler? 2) Why didn't the Cowboy that almost knocked Micheal...

    Can the Roosters recover?

I don't understand why people could think that the ship has sailed. We've maintained our best forwards, and we've strengthened our backline. We did lose Freddy but i don't think that will be as catastrophic as most people think.

    2005 team

My 2005 Roosters Squad: 1: Anthony Minichiello 2: Amos Roberts 3: Joel Monaghan 4: Ryan Cross 5: Chris Walker 6: Brett Firman 7: Brett Finch (the Halfback of the Year should play Halfback) 8: Jason Cayless 9: Craig Wing 10: Adrian Morley 11: Craig Fitzgibbon 12: Micheal Crocker...

    Peewee Moke

Peewee Moke was great to watch. I don't think he will get a shot at 1st grade next season. I think he may in 2006 but next year he is destined for PL IMO. The same for Jamie Soward IMO. Soward could be good for the Roosters 1st grade side to bring off the bench in the last 10 mins of a close...

    Luke Dorn

Luke Dorn is average. Hes not someone you'd think would really offer any attacking flair to a side. Perhaps the Knights signed him incase they are struck with injuries again?

    1 win out of 4 GF's

The thing is we did look like scoring in the last 20 minutes. We just kept dropping the ball when we looked the goods. There was no lack of effort in any of the GF we've been in though. Especially this year (except Hodges).

    no juniors, no ticker

tigpie cam: i see that most of the stuff you post is pointless sh** and i have no problem simply ignoring it. But i find it rather amusing that you insult us and our team for being successful (granted we have lost 2 GF in a row, but we still got there, and with the Minor Premiership this...

I'm tempted to give it to you's but....

Well i can't be mad at the Dogs for winning. We can't expect them to just let us win because it was Freddy's last game. The Dogs are actually the team i support other than the Roosters. Don't get me wrong though i'm a Rooster through and through. So it was kinda wierd having my favourite team...

    Your Thoughts on Ricky...

IMO Mino is a brilliant Fullback and i would be very sad to see Sticky move him from the position he's become used to and brilliant in. He doesn't have enough interjection on the Wing. He gets his hands on the ball far more at Fullback and breaks the first tackle more that anyone else in the...
