Rabbitohs set new record for NRL memberships

I booked a corporate box for a bunch of mates for the opening round game at the SFS in 2009 so that we could watch the Bunnies annihilate the Roosters, which they did 52-12. Because it was a Roosters home game, I had to book it through the Roosters. Guess what, same deal. Just this week I got...

Are South Sydney the real deal?

I don't normally like to say that one player makes a big difference to a side, but if the Dogs lost Barba to injury they'd be in a lot of trouble. The problem the Dogs has is that they're running out of backs.

    Sam Faust

RIP Sam, such devastating news, and to leave such a young family behind is just tragic. I must admit I'm a little uncomfortable with this posting below on the website page posted above. I may be wrong but it comes across a little more opportunistic than compassionate (which I'm sure wasn't...

Salary cap its own worst enemy in sorry Inglis saga

All four third party sponsors have vehemently denied this accusation through various newspaper interviews - ie, on the public record. Are you suggesting they're liars?

Salary cap its own worst enemy in sorry Inglis saga

One of the third party agreement sponsors for Inglis (the car dealer) is actually a lifelong Bulldogs fan. He wants to sponsor Inglis on behalf of his dealership for marketing purposes but also because he is a rugby league fan and wants to make a contribution towards him staying in the game...

Salary cap its own worst enemy in sorry Inglis saga

I think the real issue here and now is not so much about raising the salary cap but the grey areas around third party agreements -there doesn't appear to be much consistency. You've got four sponsors independent of the South Sydney football club publicly declaring that they want to invest in an...

    Crowe reveals his American dream

Sometimes you've got to take the good with the bloody awful. It would be interesting to hear how he got his hands on Souths merchandise, he seems to wear a lot of it.

    So who is the best?

    Issac Luke.

I think Rugby League just died...

Even Kevin Moore acknowledged that it was a lovely, legitimate tackle.

    2010 Memberships

Most of my mates are Tigers fans and if you asked them they'd probably call themselves die-hards. Out of interest I recently queried over a beer if they were members of the football club and all said no, it didn't even occur them. Pretty much all live within a 5km radius of the Balmain district...

    Sonny's Jumper

Absolutely! Even longer. I think it was around in '82.

    Sonny's Jumper

My Uncle Norm used to have the exact same jumper. I think he bought it from Lowe's in 1983 if my memory serves me correctly.

    Nine stands down Phil Gould

Whether you're a fan of Gould or not, a boycott of Nine should be on the cards for Thursday night by all and sundry. If great lengths are being taken to silence the voices that represent the greater good of the game, then we should all vote with the remote and switch them off.

David Gallop on Talkin' Sport Re:SBW at 3:30pm

Various administrations within rugby league, including clubs, have always been hypocrites of the highest order. This was highlighted by Hughes with regards to the Super League war and Gallop was non-stop trying to deny it. But if you watched the Sunday Roast yesterday, Matt Johns relayed...

Raiders stand down Goodwin and Carney over club claims

But it also seems a little bit odd that Irwin would drive there but have too many drinks to drive home, and that Carney wouldn't have anything (even though he was the one who was unlicensed and didn't have the responsibility of driving). Therefore, would a completely sober individual make the...

TV deal short-changes NRL, says Crowe

I'm looking forward to Gallop's response. I know, I'm only joking.

Choose one player from each club

Yes, yes they have (bless our "depth"). And your list was relevant to the thread...how?

Choose one player from each club

Sorry if you didn't understand my point, you dope. But then again, I don't understand yours... :sarcasm:

Choose one player from each club

That's pretty much the Rabbitohs reserve grade squad these days and they flogged your reserves by 34 points last week. Hmmm...

    John Sutton

Sutton is about six months older than Mateo but they're both 23.
