Rugby League is in the greatest shape ever. (Discuss)

It is no coincidence the game is on the up over the last year or two because News Corp are now our partners/own us. After 20 years of crap and battling them we are in bed with them and they are assisting us no longer death riding the game. Have their administration in running the game for them...

Lets hope so. I've read in the past the grounds aren't up to scratch, if this is the case the game should assist in getting them up to scratch as the AFL would do.

Well let's hope Tonga and Samoa actually play in their home countries not Campbelltown and Penrith.

And they know it that's why they did everything in their power to get rid of Smith and Grant. Now we have their men in charge V'landys and Abdo who get an easy ride from them. Could you imagine the abuse they would give Smith if he was as invisible as Abdo.

Pretty much spot on. The NRL will only go where the money is.

    Well said Shaun wane

It was a hypothetical, in a perfect world situation. You would have to agree it would be great for the game if it did. But of course it's not going to happen we all know that.

    Well said Shaun wane

It would be good if IMG turned around and said 14 teams for SL. Toulouse and London you're in. Take your pick from Wakefield, Bradford or Featherstone. Won't happen of course.

That requires leadership which we don't have.

    RLIF Eligibility Laws

I think the game needs to develop under age international competitions eg U17 U19 or U18 U20 into full international teams for all the major nations in the area. This will allow players to grow with their nation and the public to identify them with these nations. Agree with Origin however make...

Sit tight a second NZ franchise will come. It could very well be in Christchurch. Infact I can see the game growing to 20 teams in the near future.

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

RL has turned the corner after 20 years of being suppressed by News Corp. We are now in bed with them and Nine let's see where we are in 5-10 years. I can recall 1983 when Kevin Humphreys had to resign as league boss and the average attendance was 6996 and we only had a predictable season. This...

    2023 TV/Fox/Streaming Ratings

Penrith are the lowest drawing Sydney team on TV. They have a short history and not the generational support of Dragons, Bulldogs, Tigers, Rabbitohs etc.

    Bullying in the media

Agree 100% Tallis is relentless with his schoolboy humour it is getting so boring. Hooper always sides with Tallis obviously Tallis tips him off for stories from his footy mates. Tallis's cliched arguments are just low level and soon as he has to think quick on his feet he is gone. If they got...
