Yeah because what have they done recently? Oh except for take us to a grand final and have us in the top 4 one third of the way through this year.

Anyway, although it's a joke Kite isn't there, I'm not trying to push Orford and Lyon's wagon. It just means Manly will only be missing 1 player through the origin period, which is fine by me.

IMO I cannot see how that team will have enough points in them to counter the QLD onslaught. Having said that I'm not sure any NSW team picked could stop QLD but I think they could have gone with a better side then that.

it's a pretty bad NSW team. it's a shame gidley is injured... the team looks much weaker without him there.

as a knights fan i'm very very happy they didn't pick mullen. if he keeps playing good footy then maybe he can look towards origin #2 or #3 after NSW get belted in the first game.

Queenslanders would be laughing! Didn't they learn last year that young half-backs need some serious first grade experience before playing origin? Mullen still hasn't recovered from being overawed last start.

The lack of Manly players is also a little insulting, considering we were the best team in NSW last year by 10 (!) competition points.

Wallace deserves his selection,he has been great for the Broncos and done well in taking the reigns which would have been a tough job.
So it may have played a part in his selection.

Greg Bird at 5/8 though...why not put him at lock with someone more creative at 5/8?

Totally agree. First time in a while the side's had no 'Dogs too, and I'll still be behind the blue 100% - a good soild side given QLD's dominance recently.
