Tv deal is being redone shortlyNRL with 1 Brisbane club Ch9 $115mill cash a year
NRL with 2 Brisbane clubs CH9 $115mill cash a year
Is it? Deal doesn't run out till 2028 so how is it getting 'redone'?Tv deal is being redone shortly
notice there are no articles from none supporting Perth
I was under the impression they already had to be consulted, hence all the palaver over the Dolphins admission? Like the players CBA the devils in the detail, consultation or agreement? very different things!12ft

clubs want to have their say on who gets the 18th spot
“But clubs have already discussed only agreeing to new licence agreements with conditions that would provide them with a vote on how expansion would work.”
They have for BrisbaneIs it? Deal doesn't run out till 2028 so how is it getting 'redone'?
Well they havent for PNG, NZ2 or anywhere else lol
In fact given tv's main goal is to get the rights for as cheap as possible I very much doubt they are going to be talking up anywhere too much.
Ch9 offered over $500mill for a 5 capital city sports product recently. Maybe should tell us something?
You better hope master politician vlandys stays in power long enough to deliver 20 teams because a dope like Dave smith or John grant would get eaten alive by the clubs and the rlpaI was under the impression they already had to be consulted, hence all the palaver over the Dolphins admission? Lackluster? they got three bidders and blew the rights value out the water. How's that lackluster? They went from about $380mill to $570mill tv value. If that's lackluster we can only hope we get anywhere near in 2028!They have for Brisbane
based on how lacklustre the bidding was last time for the afl maybe we shouldn’t be copying them so much
No-ones caved in like this mob. Massively upped the club grant and salary cap and stripped grassroots of funding to pay for it. And thats a good outcome for the game? You better hope master politician vlandys stays in power long enough to deliver 20 teams because a dope like Dave smith or John grant would get eaten alive by the clubs and the rlpa
You’re only chance for an nrl team in Perth in the next decade or more is with pvl buddyNo-ones caved in like this mob. Massively upped the club grant and salary cap and stripped grassroots of funding to pay for it. And thats a good outcome for the game?
That may well be true, but so is my statement lol They've stripped grassroots funding to pay for increased club and player payment. You be the judge if thats a good thing long term for the game. You’re only chance for an nrl team in Perth in the next decade or more is with pvl buddy
despite all your rubbish about him the guy does things not talks about doing things and does nothing
That's fair actually.Apologies, I thought you were talking about dckheads
Using that logic there'll never be enough talent, because the opportunity has to exist before somebody can take it.The two masterminds think theres not enough talent for Club 18
Get over the rusted on afl comment lmaoThat may well be true, but so is my statement lol They've stripped grassroots funding to pay for increased club and player payment. You be the judge if thats a good thing long term for the game.
As for Vlandys being our best chance, tbh he comes across pretty old fashioned and myopic about the futre of the game so we shall see. I am fully expecting we will miss out again. Not becuase Perth couldnt be a succesful and valuable addition to the NRL, but because the leadership is short sighted and doesnt really believe our game can grow beynd its traditional heartlands.
I`m still not convinced that the extra funding for the clubs wasn`t to ensure that the clubs are wealthy enough to:No-ones caved in like this mob. Massively upped the club grant and salary cap and stripped grassroots of funding to pay for it. And thats a good outcome for the game?
