18th club, whose next?

Would anyone else be concerned that the so- called "largest Rugby League club on the planet" (direct quote from @Get Rid of The Donkeys ) play multiple home games at a 12k capacity footy park?

I assume this is a typo and he meant 2nd. But even that's a worry. It means our sport is incredibly niche playing at such small venues.

Also what's the Dolphins crowd average sans Broncos?
I find it weird the largest club in the world has never finished higher than 14th.

It's funny watching Dane pretend the Dolphins have been a failure while telling us every other expansion team is good.

Dane and mongoose really hate the fact there's room for expansion in southern Brisbane. They have a massive chip on their shoulder.

Dane once claimed that roofless NFL stadia are superior to Lang Park because they have more space around their grounds for fans to beat a drum before kick off.

I'm considering putting him on ignore. Most obvious troll here.

you know, occasionally you come up with some good points and arguments but the childish "uR juSt jEALouS oF brISbanE" crap is embarrassing and doesn't even make sense. Brisbane just got a team and before that it was the Gold Coast - NRL needs to go somewhere different next.

PNG is probably getting the next licence.

You cannot deny that an NRL team will bring great joy into the lives of millions of Papuans. For that reason alone I'm happy to see them get the next licence.

I'd rather see a licence given to people who have earnt it and will appreciate it than wasting one on a fumbleball city.

The post was misleading whether the poster intended it or not. Not only does Rugby hold record at Optus, that sports holds all time ground number at HBF (NRL is top in current configuration).

Stats the poster presented are less impressive knowing Rugby is record holder at each venue, as it places NRL behind sport which hardly a juggernaut.

Force averaged 27k at Subiaco in their debut season. Reds averaged half than that at the WACA in their first season. These inconvenient facts are ignored by the expansionists. I'll be called an AFL/RU troll for daring to mention these facts.

Unless you're Marie Kondo, feelings over cold hard facts is not how professional sports are run.

PNG is a terrible idea, and you know it(and have said so on many occasion)

Whether you agree or disagree with the validity of the statement is seperate to arguing about the veracity of the statement.

No, people aren’t ignoring it. You just need apply context like with everything.

For example what are Super Rugby crowds like today compared to twenty years ago? What are league crowds like today compared to 28 years ago?

For example, crowds in Super Rugby were easily outstripping crowds in RL twenty years ago (their average was higher in NSW, ACT and WA) now their crowds are about the same as the A-League.

You must have misread my post where I posted link showing Rugby is current record holder at Optus: so more recent than NRL

Doublespeak

Serious LOL.

You were arguing that the statement was incorrect (initially) because you posted about Rugby Union being the current holder then you backtracked saying that the post was misleading essentially inferring that the fact was unimportant.

Those are two entirely different arguments. Next time just say whoops I misread what the poster stated rather than making yourself look like a total arse
