You must have misread my post where I posted link showing Rugby is current record holder at Optus: so more recent than NRL

You mustn’t have read the part where I clearly said Super Rugby (I’ve put it in bold for you now). Jesus mate instead of jumping at shadows or trying to do gotchas fully read posts
No, people aren’t ignoring it. You just need apply context like with everything.

For example what are Super Rugby crowds like today compared to twenty years ago? What are league crowds like today compared to 28 years ago?

For example, crowds in Super Rugby were easily outstripping crowds in RL twenty years ago (their average was higher in NSW, ACT and WA) now their crowds are about the same as the A-League.

The three of them go to such long efforts to talk up other sports. But are league fans apparently.

Serious LOL.

You were arguing that the statement was incorrect (initially) because you posted about Rugby Union being the current holder then you backtracked saying that the post was misleading essentially inferring that the fact was unimportant.

Those are two entirely different arguments. Next time just say whoops I misread what the poster stated rather than making yourself look like a total arse

Quote me where I said post was incorrect - never did.

I know what ur doing: misleading by omission. No reason for qualifier. Highest attendance at both hbf & optus belong to rugby.

Firstly I wasn’t addressing your point; I was addressing GROTD’s post.

Secondly, the record is a Wallabies match not a Super Rugby match. All this indicates is that there is an audience for Rugby Union in Perth. Same as the crowd for State of Origin indicates that there is an audience for Rugby League in Perth. You can’t argue for one without arguing for the other which I’d suggest you are trying to do.

Thirdly, ‘at one stage’ is pretty basic English grammar. It’s hardly misleading and it was a factual post/comment. You can argue that the fact doesn’t matter but you can’t argue that the fact doesn’t exist.

The post was misleading whether the poster intended it or not. Not only does Rugby hold record at Optus, that sports holds all time ground number at HBF (NRL is top in current configuration).

Stats the poster presented are less impressive knowing Rugby is record holder at each venue, as it places NRL behind sport which hardly a juggernaut.
A WAFL game holds the all time record at HBF Park.
Your post isn't just misleading, it's incorrect.

Great thing about a public forum is that anybody can reply to any post. Don't want me to highlight deficiencies within Ur argument put me on ignore..

What deficiencies? The fact that you can’t clearly read posts.

I have answered your question in my post. The fact that Wallabies and State of Origin attendances suggests there is an audience for both but I am sure you won’t address that point.

There’s some nice irony there.

You are trying to pretend that you didn’t understand/misread what somebody posted when it is clear as day that you did. It’s ok to admit that you didn’t understand what he posted.

See U moved goal posts from all Rugby matches to just super rugby matches. All time record for Rugby code at HBF is 22k for super rugby match in 2011!! Ur going to get hernia from shifting those goal posts lol!!

Huh? Why am I only considering HBF Park now? Shifting goalposts?

By the way if you weren’t such a dullard you would have noticed that I was responding to GROTD’s post. His post framed it as Force crowds from when they started vs Reds crowds from when they first started, so why would I argue using different parameters to him.

I suggested that when you argue with context i.e. notice the trends of Super Rugby crowds going down dramatically (if you follow the link you can check Super Rugby attendances from 2003 to now) and NRL crowds increasing significantly then perhaps it is not as easy to just draw a line and say well they won’t be as popular as the Force because of what happened twenty years ago. Notwithstanding that this attendance data happened so long ago that inherently there is a question of relevancy.

Also, I have given you a pretty succinct answer about the current record. You are essentially arguing that the record for a Wallabies game is an indication for a total audience but a State of Origin match which had only a thousand or so less isn’t. Do you know how crazy that sounds?

Last NRL attendance at hbf was 6k: lower than number Perth red always uploads from 2012(?). 2019 Optus crowd still higher than 2023 double header. Which direction nrl crowds going in Perth?! Let me help you; opposite to up!!

Apologize for saying I said post was incorrect.

So the last two crowds of NRL in Perth have gone from 6k to 42k. And you think that's going down?
. Which direction nrl crowds going in Perth?! Let me help you; opposite to up!!
Having a little deeper look at your 'stats' .
The double header at optus in 2018 got 38k while last years got 42k. Still going opposite to up??
