And 2 weeks before the $60m, the same newspapers were claiming it was going to be $25m.

And Andrew Hill has now confirmed that all the numbers are bullshit.

Camden. That's in WA!

He debuted for WA in 2011
He is married to a local Perth woman, has 2 kids set up in school there... he is far from the examples we are talking about.

But sure lets put him as an East coast import then.

1 guys who has lived in the city for 13 years is the only example. Whose wife is from the city so if she needs help with the kids or something while he is away. Has the support.

I dont give a fùck.. sook, news outlets from all around said the same thing, you say one thing, many articles from random news sites say 60 mil over a decade, (obviously not soley used on the 1st grade team) but its mainly the gist of= govt wants to help Png= heres some mula, also based in cairns, so you can suck on a long dick as you often do anyways, cowboys gonna need to share a bit, like the bronx just did

Despite your homophobic take, even your own links say this

The $600 million investment reportedly won’t solely focus on rugby league, with funds being used to strengthen the nation socially and economically.

Yeah, because that's what accusing a person of being an out of touch old man generally means LOL.

Wanna attempt to address the criticism, or do you just want to keep throwing out childish insults?
Look at your stupid stance on the Dolphins and Brisbane 2. Everything you said turned out to be wrong. You argued it needed to be a "neutral" brand that represented everyone in greater Brisbane.

The Brisbane Bombers bid was everything you wanted: neutral and represented the entire greater Brisbane region. It was the least popular bid.

The other three bids were traditional BRL clubs. All three were miles ahead of the Bombers.

Dolphins are now the second largest rugby league club in the world, yet you reckon they've failed on every metric.

You throw out childish insults. Then you cry when people throw a few back.

You said Perth should come in ahead of brisbane two

according to you because brisbane has. A team the dolphins aren’t expansion
It shoukd have said ‘shouldnt’ lol.
Yep I’m more for expansion than consolidation, though I’ve been saying for years brisbane2 is a no brainer.

I think a half step backwards from NRL alone is required.

NRL 2 should incorporate NSW Cup, Qld Cup and NZRL.

PNG should seek to have the Australian government fund a 4 - 6 team fully pro comp with an NRL side in ten years. Build the foundations.

PNG teams should be a conference of NRL 2.

Fiji, Tonga and Samoa should also be added to second tier competitions (as Fiji sort of are) except they should join a new Pacific conference of NRL 2

The Pacific İslands can be won just using NRL 2. Greater pathways to fat more teams then Super Rugby.

That leaves us with NZ2 & Perth, maybe SQ (Tigers)

PS. Sharks should also move four games a year to Adelaide and make a slight rebrand to Southern Sharks with Cronulla Sutherland and Adelaide on the Jersey. Sydney teams should then make "Sydney Season tickets" so a fan in Sydney can go to all games in Sydney on one ticket.
Dreaming but I’d love to see three nrl2 confer and a proper nrl reserve grade

nrl australian conference
perth
adelaide
central coast
illawarra
newtown
north sydney
4 queensland clubs

png confernce
8 png clubs

pacific conference
wellington
christchurch
Waikato
hamilton
fiji
samoa
tonga
cook islands

imagine the player production and reach of rugby league if we had nrl then 3 conferences of semi professional clubs in all those cities.

Yeah the NRL are going to ask the Sharks to move 4 home games just after they've bought the hotel at Shark Park that will host spectators from out of town.
Imagine the ARLC saying "yes we've decided to move 4 Sharks home games to Adelaide so we lose money on our investment "

I think I need to add this into the Western Pasifika thread.
Doesn’t matter to nrl how many stay there, they own the building and are leasing it out to a hotel company. Not sure 400 fan stays a year will make any difference to the rental value lol

The figure was suggested by journos quoting Albo, when he was asked about it some months ago, it was a figure they said they could very well stump up if it was needed, I'm fairly sure andrew hill mentioned he wouldn't need that amount, or he has no definitive amount to ask for yet, until all areas of the bid and options had been selected, for now it looks like they are just rolling with certain processes that will just get the bid ready, before getting all the figures nessesary...
Dont bother replying to maxipad, he didn't even know the sponsor of the png stadium, he is here just to troll and add likes and bloeys to the karens
No it wasn’t , even in those articles the govt said no amount had been agreed. The journos literally plucked figures out of the air based on previous overseas aid funding amounts lol
everyone knew it was bs except Wb who has hung his hat on that peg since

He repeats the same lies after he's shown the truth. Most of his arguments are based on half-truths or outright lies.

I can understand him wanting an NRL team in Perth. What I cannot accept is his deranged entitlement complex and ingratitude towards rugby league fans in the heartland states. He wants bids from the heartland stats that have a more compelling case than Perth to miss out on a licence because he feels entitled to a team. It's not enough for him that the Melbourne Storm have been propped up by Queensland for a quarter of a century [to the detriment of rugby league in Queensland]. He wants a team in Perth to do the exact same thing.

A team from Perth will rely on Queensland and NSW for players. The NRL's revenue is generated primarily by rugby league fans in Queensland and NSW. He wants thr NRL to use its revenue to prop up a Perth-based team and the WARL.

I'm fed up of his sooking.
So donkey

‘you’re selfish for wanting a club in your city with no club’

‘but I’m not selfish just because I want a third team in my city because I dont want to support the two that are already here’

you muppet.

As successful as the dolphins were in their first year I still feel they're not living up to the full potential a proper second Brisbane team could achieve, though it is hard to say how high that potential is.

They have made some unwise choices like not having Brisbane in the team name and not playing all 12 games at Suncorp (the entire point of a second Brisbane club). Case in point this year they will play the rabbits at kayo in front of 10k where as last year it drew 22k on a thursday at suncorp. For me it is just small time thinking and maybe something a standalone new club wouldn't be doing.

But I am a fan of the dolphins club and like the history that comes with them to the nrl and hope they can grow to be as successful off the field as the broncos. Big teams in big cities is what is needed.

As for Perth, of course they deserve a team but brisbane 2 was more of a priority, regardless I believe they will become one of the big teams of the nrl when admitted. Despite all the trolling, WA has a history of playing the game since 1948 and has a big cashed up population and now a supportive government, everything is in place for success and actual growth of the game.

Well because I like to show you out as the dumb f**k you are here goes

Perth Scorchers 0 players who don't play domestically for Western Australia

Perth Glory - 3 that are from the East. 1 of those is on loan

Force - have 15 of the 36 from the East.

5 of those played overseas last year. So had a 25% chance to come to Perth...

So data shows... They will need a pathway in place to at the very least fill out their squad
I’d have thought that goes without saying and should be major part of any bid process.

It is only year 1. Dolphins will grow over time.

There is no trolling from me in regards to Perth, The issue with expansion is finding quality players.

That is the case with expansion full stop, People who like a certain bid are ignoring this issue when it is one ALL expansion teams will face

The govt said it was rubbish, the man leading the hopeful bid has said it’s rubbish, yet some on here are still clinging on to the figure lol as of the govt is giving an pngrl and an nrl club $60mill ayear!

50% of those areas have no want nor are able to support teams.

You just need to evolve the 2nd tier comps, bring in teams that either want to be considered for expansion with the NRL reserve grade sides
