money and pathways will get them from union.

Pacific bowl championsPNG conference (8 clubs) would they have footy boots, jerseys to play in ?, I’d just put the PNG Hunters in the Pacific conference.
PNG could only manage 1 silver medal in weight lifting at the last commonwealth games, the Country is not full of athletes.
More than Perth. How many registered jnrs are there in nz?
Perth got a ten dollar gift certificate from cash convertersYou just answered why it doesn't get more funding.
I don't blame the kids, very few would go West at that age from over here.
The System PNG has taken across would have a coach in the relative zones
So in theory kids in Broome get the exact same training as those in Perth. Without having to travel down then go into the relevant rep side and go from there.
Penrith spend $5m on it
PNG got $5.5m to run theres
So Super League had no impact? f**k you post some shit.
All of the footballs they use in the WARL are probably 20 year old QRL balls that were provided to them by Cash Converters.Perth got a ten dollar gift certificate from cash converters
And with that attitude nothing would ever change!RL is a minority sport in Perth.
From a commercial and logistical perspective, there's zero reason to include Perth ahead of the Brisbane Tigers.
Brisbane Tigers assets $135m
Perth NRL BID assets $0
Lang Park is world's best rugby league stadium.
PRS is a dump.
NRL FTA ratings in Brisbane 111k.
NTL FTA ratings in Perth 8k.
QRL 65k players.
WARL 4.1k players.
Langlands Park has a high performance training centre and has already hosted NRLW games.
Perth NRL bid doesn't even have a block of land for a team to train on.
A Perth-based team will never be one of the bigger clubs. It will struggle to attract sponsors, fans and players.
Warriors crowds dropped to 8k by 1998. Crushers 7k by 1997.Super League didn't stop Warriors, Cowboys and Crushers from averaging 26,450, 21,670 and 21,029. In their debut seasons. Reds averaged just 13,390. Only an idiot would think Super League was reviled in Perth as much as it was in Sydney.
2 clubs, no need for a third for many many years to come. best stop waiting for Logan and jump on the phins train.RL is a minority sport in Perth.

I wouldn’t be sure that isn’t happening. Ok I’m giving the arlc a lot of credit here, and history shows they are generally not deserving of it, but you’d have to be a really really poor director group if you haven’t been in serious discussion with a cashed up state govt about what it will take to get a club. Present the demands and see what they come back with. It’s probably the best opportunity rugby league will ever have to get someone else to foot a big chunk of the bill to develop the game to new heights in an afl state. And with that attitude nothing would ever change!
RL may be a small sport in Perth but it has history and has proved in recent times it's ability to support the game in big numbers and would no doubt get behind their own team in the same way. Participation and ratings would build over time as evidenced by the playing numbers in '95 when the game had momentum in perth.
There is no bid, no assets and no infrastucture because there has been no calls from the nrl for interested parties to put their hands up.
The fact the wa government is investigating how best to support a bid at this time is only a positive.
If the nrl had any strategic thinking they would have been engaging the wa government because they have been showing interest in getting a team and filling the NRL’s coffers buying games over the last decade. They could have said build us a training centre and fund junior development and you will get a team, maybe even uphrade the stadium. You never know if you don't ask!
Yes Brisbane/SEQ is the best rugby league city we have with the two biggest teams and a strong 3rd team would be an overall positive for the game, but we don't want to oversaturate the market so soon. Ideally the Broncos would be at capacity nearly every week and dolphins in the 30's crowd wise before considering another team.
We don't need another sydney situation with small teams splitting the pie into ever smaller pieces.
He is dumb, dont be surprised his arguments are dumbWarriors crowds dropped to 8k by 1998. Crushers 7k by 1997.
Cowboys crowds stayed up for several years but they've had some troughs, strangely when they had the best player in the world too. They were only getting 14k in the early 2010s.
Point is you can't just cherry pick 1 single year to make your argument. Just like saying the Dolphins are a huge success after their first season is f**king dumb.

Ch9 want a third team in Brisbane. They don't want one from Perth. Let that sink into your brain cell.2 clubs, no need for a third for many many years to come. best stop waiting for Logan and jump on the phins train.

We all think its rubbish, BUT fųkwit claimed "where did you get the figure from" so we decided to post all the news oulets that all said the same shit... now it oh yeah but those aren't news outlets ffsThe govt said it was rubbish, the man leading the hopeful bid has said it’s rubbish, yet some on here are still clinging on to the figure lol as of the govt is giving an pngrl and an nrl club $60mill ayear!
No, because it isn't even coming into the equation. You think nrl is dictating to the sharks where they play their games to keep a hotel busier? lol
Yeh sure but just going by what has been in the media doesn't give me much hope they have been proactive in that regard. Considering the chairman only realised that perth exists and wants a team after the premier gave him a call leaves me doubtful.I wouldn’t be sure that isn’t happening. Channel 9 thought it was smart to dump the 100m they stole back from the NRL during COVID into Union so I don’t think their wider strategy should be taken as gospel.
