More ppl in north Sydney would get behind nrl team than ppl would in perth

People in North Sydney are already saturated with League coverage. If they follow league, they already follow another side and if they don’t, they have chosen not to because they don’t like the game. Putting a side there is not going to increase the amount of people following or watching the game.

It’s almost like you don’t understand business or capitalism at all.

Best thing for manly would to have their main rival back. Look what parra & Penrith do each time they play.
The best thing would have been if they had either never left (and a club like Cronulla was kicked out/merged instead), or the merger had been forced to keep existing in some form. It’s an important market and the way it’s been allowed to rot over the last 20+ years has done untold damage. That time has come and is long gone now though. The district now needs to receive the Newtown treatment so the game can both re-engage that market with the abundance of resources within Sydney and move forward and focus on opportunities outside of Sydney.

Please don’t talk about what’s best for league

manly had their paws all over the failure of the joint venture then moved it back to Brookie full time

if your really worried about what’s best for league perhaps manly should’ve given the license over to the bears to be a full time central coast team

Cherry picking seems to be your expertise
Well if you use the term “each time they play“ then There is no such thing as cherry picking! If he’d said “sometimes they play“ then I wouldn’t have commented lol

let’s see with the new stadium if manly can ave

central coast bears brings back not only the manly rivalry it was also be massive vs Newcastle

central coast will end up with a team it’s a matter of when. The population just keeps growing.

it’s easy for fans to travel on the train from Sydney or Newcastle and has a picturesque and amazing ground

You have inadvertently nailed the reason why CC doesn’t need a team (at least it’s own brand new licence): accessibility to the product. People on the CC can already watch and consume as much league as they want.

If CC ever want a side, it should be a relocated one.

Perhaps? Like I said, it’s all long, long in the past and it would have been better had Norths either not been given the boot or the merger being forced to continue existing in some form. Just some form of plan for the region and a bit of thought for the future would have avoided the rot we see now. We can only deal with what we have now, Norths aren’t coming back, Manly or any of the other 8 Sydney teams aren’t going to be giving up their licence for Norths to re-enter and there are big markets that need teams outside of Sydney.

Central coast will end up with a team one day. The population will just keep growing till the nrl can’t deny them

that’s how they will get back the north shore

i really can’t ever see many people from that area supporting manly

Because Sydney & because Perth.

So you don’t know other than presumptions.

How many people in North Sydney don’t consume the game now but would consume the game if a North Sydney side were entered. Bearing in mind, that anybody in North Sydney could get on a train/bus/drive etc any given weekend and go to Brookie or the SCG or Bankwest or wherever else in Sydney and follow a team.

This is the thing: if the vast majority of your supporters for a North Sydney club are coming from supporters of other Sydney clubs, they are not new supporters. They are just reducing the amount of supporters of the other Sydney NRL clubs.

I can’t understand how you don’t understand the key aspect of accessibility to a product in order to consume it.
