Yes but atleast Daniel Dickson has come to the forefront stated his non-negotiables, where the Bears have been in talks with the NRL and who the Bears may link with.
And the Bears are actually real, we are an entity.
You have to admit WA has had absolutely nothing ?.
Apart from the WA Premier saying they would like to see a team in WA and the possibility of linking with the Bears that has been it.
Perth Red keeps talking about all of these consortiums, ready and waiting with all of their $$$, where are they ?.
WA has been the quietest of all the areas.
They have been very quiet I agree. But Id suggest that is by design rather than because there is nothing happening.

It could well be all the key pieces are in place and its just negotiations with WA Govt contribution happening or that everything is done and just waiting to see what the NRL does next.

Every NRL club has 30 registered players in their tops squad. Up to 12 of those players each week will become available to play in NSW / QLD Cup. Are clubs going to ignore that opportunity? Players that come from the Perth junior rep pathway as they develop equivalent 17s, 19s reps are going to want a NSW / QLD Cup team to head to if they don't make the top 30 squad. On average Perth would have half a dozen kids up root and head over every year to do that anyway at 16-19 without a pathway.

Why would that have anything to do with the local amateur first grade competition?
That's a lot of travel for the 12 NRL contracted players that don't get picked for the NRL team. Flying from Perth to Brisbane twice a week for training, then a third time on game day. Won't be cheap.

Similar to the Storm Melb - QLD arrangements which have worked in the past.

I doubt they are flying multiple times a week just to make Q-Cup training. At some stage in the week they'd be released to fly up for game day.

Much shorter travel time from Melbourne to Brisbane.

If the players aren't training with the Queensland Cup team then they won't be in sync with their team-mates.

Melbourne stated that was one of the main reasons they have linked with the Bears in 2024

Of course they were, the titans got in ahead of them, then they finally realised after the dolphins admission that the ARLC don't want anymore NSW teams, hence the everywhere bears are here
Michael Searles’ Gold Coast Titans bid pipped the Bears at the 11th hour in 2005 for a 2007 debut after the previous failed attempts of the Giants, the Seagulls and the Chargers on the Gold Coast, despite the Bears having John Singletons $$$ backing.
Between 2010 and 2014 the Bears signed over 8,000 Central Coast Bears members, packed out Central Coast Stadium numerous times with crowds of over 20,000 when the NRL told us to vote with our feet, topped many fan and player polls in the Daily Telegraph and RLW at this time but the NRL kept moving the goal posts again, and again, and again.
Current NRL players Liam Knight (Bulldogs) 17 years old, Nicho Hynes (Sharks), the Saifiti Brothers (Knights), Jacob Liddle (Dragons), Connor Watson (Roosters) all 16 years old, Scotty Drinkwater (Cowboys), Jack Cogger (Knights), Jesse Ramien (Sharks) 15 years, Tom Starling ((Raiders) 13 years, Blake Taafe (Bulldogs), Phoenix Crossland (Knights) 11 years old, Bradman Best (Knights) 10 years old, Sandon Smith (Roosters) 9 years old, then there’s Jonah Pezet (Storm) and Ethan Strange (Raiders) who were even younger, oh what could have been.
And there were many players who just didn’t get there who definately had the goods.

When James Maloney was with the Storm, he would train with the NRL squad all week, then if they played on Friday night and he wasn’t used they would fly Maloney, Ryan Tandy, Will Chambers, Josh Drinkwater and others up on Saturday morning (game day) to play for the Central Coast Storm.

Central Coast Bears have a more compelling case than West Coast Pirates.

Only in your drug addled brain lol
Look at the facts.

Gosford has sold out numerous NRL games at a stadium that's better than PRS.

Central Coast produces more players who are of better quality than the ones from Perth.

Gosford has pokies and is a rugby league stronghold.

What does Perth have to offer?

Not as much as Gosford.

NRL has dismissed bids from Perth and Gosford.

I don't know what they put in the drinking water in Perth, but it sure has you seeing things that don't exist. Rugby league in Perth is lightyears behind places like Brisbane, Gold Coast, Gosford and Sydney.

It's hard to get behind the state leagues when the teams are disrupted by these late inclusions.
It’s different these days with teams announcing squads of 24 then dropping down to 18 players.
Most NRL contracted players won’t train with the NSW Cup side.
Last season with the Bears I know we (fans) preferred that they didn’t pick Sam Walker and Jake Turpin in our team as on game game they both had no idea of our plays and struggled to fit in.
Big forwards like Terrell May, Fletcher Baker and Ben Thomas were fine, they would just tuck that ball under their arm and charge it up.

I haven't followed Queensland Cup much since 2017. The NRL affiliations make it a substandard product.

There are a heap of Central Coast boys playing up in the QLD Cup e.g. Ryan Jones (Tweed Seagulls), Jacob McCudden (Tweed Seagulls), Cooper Page (Wynnum Manly), Kyle Schneider (Mackay Cutters), Jaron Purcell (Dolphins), Toby Marks (Tweed Seagulls), Tom Steadman (Burleigh), Nick O’Meley (Burleigh), Brendan O’Hagan (Wynnum Nanly), Dylan Kelly (Burleigh),
I could list the Central Coast women in the NRLW: Isabelle Kelly, Kirra Dibb, Olivia Kernick, Jasmin Strange, Tarryn Aitken, Brodie Parker, Jayme Fressard, Jocelyn Kelleher, Mia Middleton, Shawden Burton and probably a few that I don’t know.
