Do you think that the Brisbane Tigers footprint/area will cease producing players if they don’t get a team? Or that interest in RL there will drop?
Why does it matter where the players come from? Is there any other professional sport in the world that thinks along those lines?
Or, if you truly believe that having a NRL team will lead to an area producing NRL players (it won’t - look at Melbourne), then isn‘t that a good reason to place teams in places like Perth?
I never said Melbourne and Perth will produce players.
Are you arguing for cities like Melbourne and Perth to not have teams because they won't produce players?
If so then I agree with you.
I'm sick of parasites from Canberra and Perth believing Brisbane should be nothing more than a breeding ground to supply unwanted teams in Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth with players they don't deserve. I'd rather see the game die than follow the "affirmative action" policies that are pushed by "expansionist" nutcases with a selfish agenda. If the other nutcases from Canberra believe Perth is so important then send the Raiders to the world's most irrelevant city.
Why do you think Brisbane RL fans should be treated like second class citizens?
I agree with you
but the reality is Perth will probably be in before easts
if png imploded then easts come in
but adding png Perth and Christchurch pacifika bears sure is a good move
I'm not convinced Perth will get a team.
Too risky for a risk adverse organisation like the NRL. Odds are V'landys will pander to the broadcasters. Ch9 have already indicated they want another team in Brisbane.
