18th club, whose next?

And those that do a large part of them are only giving the impression that they care so that the NRL can pocket 10’s of millions of government dollars off the backs of the poor Papuans.
It is sad. The country is steeped in poverty and crime. Yet the ARLC is asking the Aus Gov to spend millions on a secure compound for Australian RL players?

How can anyone justify that sort of expense on NRL players who will be getting hundreds of thousands per annum to play for this club?

Imagine how many schools, hospitals and roads can be built with $600m?

Can you imagine how many attempted break-ins will happen at the proposed compound.

You're handbag is dangling 😄
Are you defending you're pretty pommie boy, by assuming we all carry handbags, while you're dopey twat runs his mouth on every expansion thread, basically derailing them... you're just as much part of the classic potato crew

They are like the Wyong of the Central Coast, the Western Suburbs of the Newcastle competition, the Roosters/Manly of the NRL.
I’m friends with Ray Arrow (Jai’s dad from the Rabbitohs) and he was heavily involved with the Burleigh Bears for many years especially during Jai’s junior years.
He put it down to tall poppy syndrome, one of my sons former teammates played in the Hostplus QLD Cup for the Tweed Seagulls the last two years but made the move over to the Burleigh Bears this year, the rivalry between the two clubs borders on hatred.
100%. Being the big club, they attract the resources and attention but they do have a bit of swagger about them.

Game day will never be safe. I remember attending a Wynnum Manly vs PNG game at Kougari Oval when the Hunters joined the Queensland Cup. Extra security from PNG needed to be brought in. There was a huge crowd of Papuans. The crowd was very rowdy.
