Boland isn't even a stand-out at state level let alone international.

Boland has had a friend in 'high places' in the media do some awesome spin-doctoring, which led to him being nearly selected for the Boxing Day Test (there was a strong push for an all Victorian pace attack of Pattinson, Siddle, Boland), and now has earned him a spot in the ODIs.

Joel Paris, I see some potential in him over time (although Behrendorff should've got his spot), but Boland:lol: I honestly can't believe he's been selected and I'd love to be proven wrong, but I don't see him dramatically improving over time.

You know what Boland's meteoric rise reminds me of? Remember BRETT DOREY? Same thing, he was touted in the media during the 2005/06 summer as the next big thing, was very tall (203cm) but after bursting out of nowhere onto the ODI scene, was bog ordinary, very pedestrian and was eventually shafted onto the scrapheap never to be heard of again.

I think Jackson Bird would have done better here than Boland or Paris, similar to Hazlewood would have kept it tight. Berhendorff should have been here too. Off course losing Starc sets us back from the get go

But, we have yet to bat folks

Yeah Paris always shows promise, I don't mind his selection. Obviously if fit Behrendorff or NCN would be there instead however. And he probably got the nod over Richardson just based on the WACA being his home ground.

Boland on the other hand has never shown anything. And f**k me, I had forgotten about Dorey, didn't need reminding either.

Boland what a great death bowler, Richardson is a much better choice then this Victorian plodder.

India about 30 runs short I reckon

What fantastic death full tossing from Boland...

India should have gone for it 5 overs earlier with all those wickets still in hand. I feel they could have and probably should have got close to 350.

9 wickets in hand with 10 to go I would have thought the I fans would have had a dip a lot sooner than they did. I reckon they're about 20-30 runs short.
