Burns is in form and coming of a red hot season but apparently ran over a selectors dog. Renshaw is in shocking touch and couldn't justify his selection.

The omission of Burns is just unfathomable.

It's more baffling when you consider he has scored more Shield runs this season than Handscomb, who got a recall. So it's not like it's a numbers issue.

The bloke can bat 1-6, has 3 test hundreds, averaged 40 before they started dicking him around, good catcher, good fielder, can trundle out a few overs if you need it and usually not be disgraced. There's not a single area where Finch is a better test option than Burns. And yet here we are

Yeah, but that's Australian cricket in a nutshell isn't it?

Think about someone like Katich - he was batting for his career every time he walked out to the middle despite how good he was. Khawaja has spent most of his career on his last chance. But guys like Marsh can average single digits for a season but the selectors retain him.

The old saying 'class is temporary, form is permanent' springs to mind. The problem is that the selectors tend to assign 'class' to their mates, and 'form' to blokes they don't really want in the side.

Warner walks straight back in to this team. We just need somebody who can accompany him. He is too good to leave out just for being an absolute f**khead.

I'd rather just move on. Team mates don't respect him anymore.

Prior to the sandpaper incident, people were already talking about the need to move Warner on on account on the effect he was having on the team. He was embroiled in speculation about a locker room rift. Nah- time to move on Australia.

Smith, back in.

Bancroft, maybe.

Warner, never.

What it is is the mates club. If you don't fit in you're out or you have to lick a lot of arse to stay there.

Guys that are a little bit off centre have to either be f**king brilliant to stay in or else they've moved on for a plodder who toes the line.

That's Australian cricket.

Alison Mitchell sounding great again. Channel 9 really f**ked up not signing her last couple summers.

They're still talking about Kohli's reaction to Finch's wicket.

"We need a Kohli cam"...we already seem to have one.
