You mean if Aus had batted first they'd be all out now?

Well if JJ said that, he has an argument. I never said that. But I see where he is coming from. It prob explains the green pitch. So JJ is not alone in thinking that. But you won the toss, so you're safe for one week. Another toss in a week.

You can see where JJ is coming from calling Hazlewood a plodder ????

Since that call he has taken 12/161 against NZ in 1 match and one session.

I wasn't referring to Hazelwood.

My post is clear and complete. Read it again. Needs no further explanation.

I am not cocky I am lolling at you idiots for suggesting that kiwi supermen would blast Australia away. Lets not forget that JJ called Hazlewood a plodder a month or so ago.

It's funny that when Australian batsmen fail in bowler friendly conditions, it's poor technique and we're flat track bullies. When NZ batsmen fail in bowler friendly conditions it's an aberration and down to individual poor decisions.

The fact is NZ have proven nothing more than we have in bowler friendly conditions against a good attack. They are no more immune to swing and seam than we are.

I dont necessarily want Cricket Australia to try and produce English like greentops because thats not what cricket in Australia is necessarily about but I would love to see them back up bowlers like Hazlewood with a bit of green on the pitch. Not heaps but enough to get the ball to nibble about a bit.

Our batsmen would adjust.

So, is that 2/6 that have been the victims of good bowling?
Pretty much, the commentary team tried to make an excuse for BMac but it was just a regulation delivery he played with an angled bat. But the rest were all balls they should have left.

Just not having f**king highways would be nice. They don't have to have greentop slaughterhouses, as you said something in it for the bowler otherwise they ought to rename cricket in Australia "batting."

We seem to have channelled our inner Australians this morning

There's little doubt we're a better team (in general) than Australia in moving conditions - seems like this morning wasn't exactly diabolical for batting (or at least we threw a few wickets away with mindless aggression)

Basin will become very good for batting, as above, time for a backs to the wall effort in the second innings

I'll have what he's having, thanks.

Most batsman around struggle when the ball moves around, most are front foot plodders. That's why I like Williamson so much he plays off both feet so well.

Indeed

I know the logic is that if Australian bowlers cant take 20 wickets there is zero percent chance touring bowlers can (maybe RSA) but its just boring cricket and its crippling our bowlers.

Australia has always been on the flatter side. Even back in Bradmans day. We can't help the weather or the hardness of the outfield which destroys the cricket ball. Its funny just watching a game in NZ looking at how lush the place is and we not too far away its rock hard grounds.

Basically a small bit of grass covering day 1. I would love to see the pitches hold together less as well. For whatever reason Australian pitches dont crack like they used to.
