That's just crap - most of the time they can't be arse calling no balls, then he pulls one out his arse and costs us a wicket

Awful call by the umpire.

They cant overturn it because the umpire makes a call on the field. I mean come on Kiwis

FOr sure, but FFS they never call them, check dismissals and then do that

in a tight low scoring game these f**k ups are huge

Yeh, it's bullshit that a batsmen can be bought back if the umpire misses one but nothing can be done when the umpire f**ks it up for the bowling side

Yeah maybe, maybe Smith was lingering because the process was wrong?
See thats the spirit, touche JJ.

Don Voges having some luck, he will make you Kiwi's pay tomorrow he is just that good.

All in all a good day for Australia, another fine knock from Oozie.

Mate, I agree its a shocking call. Really weird too because he is a good umpire and no balls are so seldom called now.

Its just the commentators saying that a call on the field should be overturned. I know its practically impossible but its feasible a batsman will adjust his shot based on hearing no ball.

To be fair NZ did not want to bowl that over.

But wtf.

How does an umpire call a noball that wasn't?

They normally miss the real no balls.

Silly commentators. They can't overturn it because the umpire made a call - the batsman has the right to adjust his shot based on the no-ball call. Not that's what happened this time but it would be a silly precedent.

Horrible leave and shocking call though.

Maybe they should of looked at that on the big screen first????

It's all about getting the decision right isn't it???

A good day overall, would have been a great day if Smithy was still in. Need a big hundred from Ussy and hopefully we can get to 300+

good point- the ball is doomed the moment the no ball call is made. you couldn't overturn it. not that you should have to
