It's hilarious how some Aussies lack grace, irrespective of whether they're winning or losing.

The Don is re-writing record books, unfortunately your selectors picked a long list of other luminaries before unleashing the Don on world cricket

FTR the real Don played 234 First class games...with 117 100s and 69 50s @ 95...

The newish Don has 178, 30 100s, 62 50s @ 47.....damn fine stats, but no Don.

There can be only one.

As much as Illingworths incompetence is glaringly obvious and the impact huge, if there's an Aussie bat who builds such a great record, it's good it's Voges. Aside from one ball, he's left the ball brilliantly. He built his innings and didn't bat like it was another T20 match. Very fine batsman.

Not bagging, truth imo - that team was simply better
It had Hadlee and Crowe, no doubt it was better.

Saw an interview with Wasim Akram and he rated Crowe as one of his hardest opponents to bowl to, especially when it was reverse swinging. A massive wrap for a brilliant player.

I backed his selection..shield form always bodes well. But there is only one Don, 52 matches. Doubt he will get there, but hey great run good on him.

Look, Martin looked/sounded like he'd been having a good time with mates, was gently ribbing the team, and said mates, and probably was a bit WTF as to what the NZ batting had or hadn't done on day one to that point.

His honesty was refreshing and fun. Seems like a decent bloke and I like a sporty who can speak in public without resorting to cliche, acting robotic or umming and ahhing.

Personally I'm stoked Australia are on top. But I don't need to be a merkin about it.

Not sure if this is piss take but agree

He should have got his shot earlier

You often bring up his ashes failure, and there is no dispute there. He failed badly, only got going 2nd innings of the 4th test, it was too late. He played some stupid shots during the series and I remember he got a Jaffa (in the 3rd test I think). Anycase I cant help to think that the occasion got the better of him. His first big series, expectation to perform, plus Broad/Anderson bowling out of their skin. I say that cause he had played the last 5 years of county cricket, so like with Rogers who played a lot over there as well, the conditions wouldn't have bothered him as much as others in the side.

Anyhow, like NZ playing SL two home seasons in a row, Voges can only play and perform who is in front of him. Currently ripping NZ a new one :). Lets see how the mini Don in Williamson goes in he 2nd dig ;-)

Bit if a piss take, bit of truth - he's making pretty much every post a winner, ,just he's 35/36? Too late to really make a big contribution to Aust cricket, shame for him really

Sure, and a couple of bad tests from now on he most likely will be out of the side (more due to his age)

Hope they give Chris Lynn a run when we need a middle order bat

Lynn's not even in the 20:20 side is he?
