Ask your doctor what he thinks about prescribing you this.

Take them, read, learn and then you may write logical arguments.

I went fishing at 4AM in the kayak and made sure I had my headphones to put the cricket on at 7 this morning.

What a glorious day to be an Aussie. Smacking the Kiwis all over the place ALL day. The salt from the kiwi commentators on Radio Sports coverage also a highlight. They just would NOT give up on the no ball call from yesterday (although to be fair, it was only one who kept up on it all day, the rest were pretty good).

When its Voges we're talking about, the legend will get just about every 50/50 call.

What a man, what a legend.

Voges is starting to make the other batsmen in the Australian team, Khawaja possibly excluded, look quite inferior to him with his unique and remarkable career.

It is quite extraordinary.

I'm on the bandwagon of people impressed, amazed, and happy (bar national team losing) to see it continue.

Has there been any fairytale story in cricket quite like this? I mean they happen in USA sports all the time. Linsanity for example. But cricket? This is far beyond, well and truly, Craig Simmons, over a longer period of time at a much higher level.

Antilag confirmed as a 12 year old.

Well then, you were just educated several times on your faulty reasoning and logic by a twelve year old.

Typically, this post suffers your typical favorite fallacy by the way. Problem is, I reckon I would still be schooling you if I was my 12 year old self.

Yeah, Uzzie is still no.2 in my book. Smith is by far No.1

Basically, we have an absolute glut of talent still to make their mark. Voges I assume would likely retire in the next 12-18-24 months. Hell maybe in the next few months. Be interesting to see who they instill after him.

I'd like to see us play NZ more often, even if it is just glorified stat padding!

Yeah I know the feeling. I feel the same way about the Kiwis playing the Kangaroos.

But I am sure the invitation is always there from NZC.

Australia's few and far between visits to NZ are by Cricket Australia's choice, not NZC.

Looking forward to tomorrow - hoping Siddle can push on and really twist the knife lol, and see Voges through to 200.

272 is the magic number for Voges now.

Gives him a whole innings up his sleeve.

All the stats have typically been 1000 runs and 20 innings minimum. That is the general accepted norm for say Cricinfo.

There may be a new statistical requirement known as the Voges rule if he retires with an average over 100.

This is his 19th innings by the way,

They will just bump it up to 2000 runs minimum lol

They may do.

Or possibly 1500 runs if he retires on 1300 runs.

But either way that would smack to me of moving the goal posts.

Plenty of batsman retire, younger than Adam, so as to protect their average from further decline.

I'm not suggesting Voges would retire after this series if still over 100, but given his age, and his record, he may reasonably entertain that possibility. Rigor said that he would in a heart beat today on commentary.

This is the benchmark.

http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/content/records/282910.html

It should not change overnight because of Adam Voges. Look at all the other batsmen it effects.

Paynter, Tyldesley, Davis, Ryder, Mead, Hon FS Jackson

Noone would suggest a 7000 run minimum

My Grandfather grew up with the great Sid Barnes who lost his best 8 years to the war.

Pretty sure he is second ATM behind the Don, but is soon to be overtaken by the great Don Voges.

I should of added after 20 innings.

Not to nit pick but the War wasn't 8 years. Sid did 19 innings for 63. Don Voges has got him already.

Did your grandfather play first class?

Gotta love Sid, this is an excerpt from article about the great man.

the board had a policy that players could be overlooked for conduct rather than ability. When the media revealed this - and how officials had also kept a dossier of Barnes' misdemeanours - speculation, some of which was unfair, raged and it was suggested he was banished for reasons including his jumping the turnstile; offending the royal family; stealing from teammates; parking his car in a VIP area; intoxication; allowing children onto the field to save himself from chasing the ball and suggesting to umpires they were blind.

Voges has done really well tbh
http://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/en...al1=span;team=2;template=results;type=batting

This is our batting records since he has come into the side. Yeah he has a lot of not outs but only smith and warner have scored more runs. He has 5 centuries too which is equal first with smith

Khawajas returns have been insane lol

According to that list, you've got the wrong Marsh playing this test.

Burns must be looking over his shoulder. Any good shield openers this season?

He does need to up his returns a bit. If australia keeps winning id give him this series and probably the sri lanka series to establish himself.

Marsh at 6 is the biggest problem area. Averages 14 with two ducks and a topscore of 34 over 10 matches.

played NSW country and then Played club cricket with cricket with him, Australia didn't play an official test from 38 till 46/7. Pretty sure the test against NZ was counted after the fact. So pretty much 8 years.

Sid also broke his leg on the boat over and missed the series bar the last test.

Many a lost hour listening to pop from cricket from the 20's to the 40's. Cricket died after the 40's according to him

Benaud bowled fruit and Warne was a blond headed clown who weren't fit to do up O'Reillys and Grimmetts boot laces lol.
