Why so defensive??? I think he is a very good young player it does make me laugh how easy TT can upset some of you blokes by saying a few remarks about your players. Look at Slow Eddie these days he used to add plenty on here now he is a downright troll.

Williamson out unlucky strangled down the leg side.

That wasn't me reacting defensively to your comment. I actually appreciated the comment of yours that I quoted. I just thought it was worth mentioning that innings.

And nobody cares about what TT says.

My take on Fast Eddie's trolling is that he just got sick of the forum's tolerance of El D/TT etc

Don't know about that mate, he does seem to inflame a few of you on here.

What is Anderson's FC record like??? Is he good enough to bat at 6 at test level??? Certainly handy having someone like him coming in when you are well on top.

Anderson is a top prospect, but I think everyone is getting a bit carried away on the back of his batting heroics v West Indies. First Class is so-so. I don't have a lot of confidence that he will be there at the end of the day.

Trolling? I came in and added to what was being discussed. I don't think saying Williamson is better than Hughes or Smith is much of an outlandish statement. If anything it was just a shot back at the people who absolutely trashed Williamson, I'm sure I could dig up the classic Williamson vs Hughes thread somewhere.

.
 Good old Eddie don't change mate.

Jadeja being shown up for the pie thrower he well and truly is.

Anderson/#6 is a very important position in our team at the moment. There isn't really all that much batting beyond #7. Waitling has developed into playing a bit of a Haddin role. I'm not equating them. I'm just saying that, like Haddin, he does play some crucial innings when the top order fails. But Southee/Sodhi/Wagner/Boult is hardly a formidable batting tail- so we'd really like to be adding at least another 100 runs for the next 2 wickets

Unless he is in India, then suddenly they become grenades.

Sums up half the Indian batsmen as well, they're headed back to the 90s where they couldn't win anything outside of their friendly home pitches.

I think Watling and Anderson's positions should be reversed tbh.

I would back Watling to be there at stumps, Anderson not so much.

I disagree, I think that's a very handy tail.

You won't get *big* runs out of them but Wagner has shown he has the technique to hang around while the others all are capable of playing a useful attacking innings.

All but Wagner have fifties and all average above 10, hardly a list of bunnies.

Anderson is the only player playing that has the potential to match JKallis, stats wise, 10, 000, 300....

As I say potential.

Hopefully he realises tests are the premium games, schedule all else around that.

Will never get anywhere near the runs. Even if amazingly he averaged 50 in Test Cricket, his injury history/our Test schedule wouldn't bode well for playing enough games.

Great day by NZ.

Unfortunately you have ensured India will never tour again.

Great day for NZ.

Pressure was on at 3/30 when Williamson and McCullum came together.

How does Ishant Sharma still manage to get a gig for India? Is the cupboard that bare for pace options in India?

I am not championing I am just telling you to calm down. How many 100s has Williamson scored in Australia, South Africa or England ? He has had 12 innings. (the answer is 0)

He might well be a very good player or he might be a player who can't play a swinging ball or one with a bit of bounce.

In New Zealand there is a lot of swing for good bowlers, and the wickets do bounce. I dare say his home record suggests he is quite comfortable on those wickets.
