Actually that album was a pleasant surprise. My girlfriend bought it, I'd never heard of them, and it's good beginning to end. Worth checking out.

But the five that got played the most on my stereo this year:
Sigur Ros - Takk...
Foo Fighters - In Your Honour
Art of Fighting - Second Story
Eels - Blinking Lights and Other Reveleations
Bloc Party - Silent Alarm

I'm only 18 & I can say todays music is just plain sh*t.

How can you say that?

You want rap? 50 Cent and G-Unit (I'm going to their concert and it will KICK MAJOR ARSE), Fabulous, Ludacris, X-zibit...

You want metal/hard rock? Trivium, Disturbed, Sevendust, Killswitch Engage, Terror, As I Lay Dying, Opeth, Soilwork, Cog, Trapt, Drowning Pool, Fear Factory, Taproot...

You want punk/emo? Hawthorn Heights, Green Day, Simple Plan, My Chemical Romance...Can't think of any more because I hate punk/emo...

There's heaps of good music IMO.

You just named the worst hip hop acts going around today.

Try Cunning Linguists, Mos Def, Jedi Mind Tricks, Atmosphere, Pumpkinhead, Little Brother, Common, Jean Grae, Immortal Technique, Akir, Saigon, Tone Deff, BrotherAli, Sage Francis, Aesop Rock.

50 Cent kicks ass.

Mos Def is cool too though.

Ludacris is awesome - I'm talking his underground stuff, BTW.

Actually, while on Japunga, I mentioned them as one of my favourite bands. But I've only heard a few of their songs.

Does anyone know anything about them? They're awesome.
