We are also 29,865 ahead of where we were same time last year

That's the important stat at the moment, and one we want to see get bigger as each round goes by.

That's about 10,000 extra punters per round so far. More than I expected to be honest, seeing as we haven't seemed to have had too many large turnouts so far. So it probably suggests consistency, which is what we want.

Sydney has acctually being where most of that growth has been this year which is encouraging. Last year we relied on the Gold Coast game at Lang Park and higher Newcastle and Cowboy crowds to give us such a good start.

This year in Sydney, we are yet to have a sub-20K crowd at ANZ Stadium (may that trend continue next weekend) plus we've only had 1 sub-10K crowd so far (may that trend continue for the rest of the season).

Next Week has the potential to be anywhere from average to huge for the NRL:
Storm v Broncos - 10K <> 15K (8K pre-sold)
Bulldogs v Roosters - 20K <> 40K (8K pre-sold)
Dragons v Sharks - 18K <> 30K (12K pre-sold)
Titans v Raiders - 20K <> 27K (11K pre-sold)
Cowboys v Eels - 18K <> 24K
Sea Eagles v Rabbitohs - 12K <> 18K (4K pre-sold)
Warriors v Knights - 12K <> 20K
Wests Tigers v Penrith - 11K <> 19K

Naturally all assumes next weekend has decent weather, but we could get anything from 121,000 to 193,000 if the games reach their potential. Hopefully for the codes sake, it does push the upper levels.

more tickets pre-sold to dragons v sharks than dogs v roosters? interesting...where you getting your figures from?

anyway i think the dogs game will easily crack 30k - i hope theres plenty of build up this week and none of those negative "fan violence" crap articles in the telegraph

I reckon 24k.

The Terrorgraph will have an article about a riot squad on hand for the game and quotes from "supporters" about how they are afraid to go the evil rugby league game and AFL is taking over. Above that will be an article about "Our" Barry Hall helping his nanna across the street and how safe the "Our" Swannies games are.

We've had a lot of Roosters v Dogs games in the past with huge build ups and none have hit the 30k mark for premiership games.

This is just another Roosters v Dogs game with a huge build up.

I'd love to see 40k but it won't happen.

IS there anyway to start a new thread with the figures updated as in the past? There is 36 pages here and its useless to try and sift through them to find the figures.

As has been mentioned before, the problem is once you get to a certain point after posting something, I think about 30 days - it's no longer editable and therefore it's difficult and impractical to keep such a thread.

Cool, didnt realise the board rules had been changed just recalled it was very easy last year to read, now its a bit crazy.

Appreciate the efforts though cause I like this thread normally.

if the broncos were not around the crowds would look pretty poor. This week Dgos v Roosters, the most talked up and anticipated match for both teams all year will be lucky to get 25k when it should be getting 50k

But should it, SD? Realistically, for a club Rugby League game?

Even for a high drawing club like the Broncos who have always played out of high capacity stadiums, 50,000 has only been achieved about 8 or 9 times.

We're jumping the gun a bit with expectations of Sydney crowds.

The best thing to do is look at the history of club crowds in Sydney and it well and truly puts everything into perspective.
