It should be getting 40-45k no doubt about that but I reckon anything under 30k is a major c**k-up.

Any other night I would go, but I don't want to miss the start of the Brisbane game, so not this week for mine.

locky every week you give a different reason as to why you can't go.

don't worry about missing the start of the brisbane game, i'm sure teh replay will be on in LA and you can watch it at your house there...

We've had a lot of Roosters v Dogs games in the past with huge build ups and none have hit the 30k mark for premiership games.

This is just another Roosters v Dogs game with a huge build up.

I'd love to see 40k but it won't happen.

You're 100% correct brutus. We all love big crowds. We all predict big crowds and again and again we are seen to be overdoing it.

Anyone predicting 40,000 for a Sydney match is in cloud cuckoo land. i admit its a nice dream and all but it aint happening. Truth is that 20,000 at a Sydney "derby" game is a good crowd and 25,000 is a blockbuster. We can rule out 30K plus in all but the most unusual circumstances.

If Dogs V Easts get 25,000 that will be an excellent attendance and anything over 28,000 will be enormous and I say that as a respecter of the Dogs who are Sydney's biggest army and as a fan of the Roos.

so who thinks the 19.5k average can be mainted or improved?

Its going to take a big effort. Possible IMO, but the rain and sydney teams form will be the deciding factor...

Theres no way we will maintain a 19k average all year but hopefully if we keep building each year and encourage more ticket holders etc that it can grow to that 20k mark.

As long as we stay over 17k average, I'll be happy.

I have a feeling we will thanks to the QLD teams, particularly the Broncos. They are going to have a big year crowd-wise.

Not a cat in hel;ls chance. we will be about 18,000 then Origin will kick in and decimate the crowds for afew rounds and we will do well to recover past 16,000.

The pointless origin exhibitions are the single biggest mid season damage maker for our attendances but it won't change.

Apparently it's meant to be a wet, cold autumn/winter this year, which is not going to help crowds.

I'm hoping for 18k. 16.5 is the absolute minimum this year barring a 2 month long hurricane over Sydney imo.

Well, normally the ANZAC clash between the Roosters and Dragons draws a fairly good crowd. With the exception of last year, every Anzac Clash has got well over 20,000 (the most was 32,270 in 2005). But, considering it's played at ANZ Stadium this year (not at the Sydney Football Stadium), I don't know how many ppl they'll get out there (even if weather is good).
