FRONT OF JERSEY PARTNER: JAYCAR ELECTRONICS

Thursday, June 11, 2009

Jaycar Electronics has signed on as the Bulldogs front of jersey partner for the rest of the 2009 season, with players to run out in the new jerseys for Friday night’s highly anticipated clash with the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.

As one of Australia’s leading electronics retail companies Jaycar’s principles of quality and value for money provide a neat fit with the Bulldogs business ideals.
Welcoming the premium investment in the Club, Chief Executive Mr Todd Greenberg says Jaycar has made a sound business decision in difficult economic times.
“Jaycar has seen the unique opportunity that the Bulldogs and Rugby League presents to connect with a large and diverse customer base,” Mr Greenberg said.
“Their support is a great vote of confidence in what we’re achieving as a Club, Jaycar is a smart and savvy company and we’re delighted to work with them.”
With over 60 stores across Australia and New Zealand Jaycar expects the relationship will broaden knowledge of their business and grow turnover.
“Being on the front of the Bulldogs jersey is a great advertising vehicle for us,” said Mr Gary Johnston, Jaycar Chief Executive.
“Research shows that they are one of the most watched teams in Australian sport and as a company looking to enhance awareness of who we are and what we do the Bulldogs provide us with the opportunity to get into the homes and lives of millions of people.
“We love what the Bulldogs are doing and we’re looking forward to the months ahead and sharing in the excitement of what promises to be a thrilling run to the finals.”
Todd Greenberg highlighted that whilst Jaycar will replace Camp Quality on the front and top of back of jersey the commitment to sponsor Camp Quality and continue the partnership will remain.
“Both Camp Quality and the Bulldogs continue to be overwhelmed by the impact that the partnership is having not only on both organisations but on the broader community in general.”
Camp Quality CEO, Simon Rountree said “the work that we are doing with the Bulldogs and the impact on the families involved has been inspirational. We are excited that all of the work that the Bulldogs are doing in the community is being recognised by Australian businesses”.

Hopefully they at least try to work the logo into the jersey somehow (unlike Broncos etc)... would assume it will look alright because the company colours are blue and white

Also was interesting to see the Titans with their blue away shorts to go with their blue home jersey the other night...

I prefer the blue shorts but wish the sides of their shorts were yellow so it matched with the jersey.

I think the intention there was to avoid have any white in their strip as the Dragons were all white there. All white vs all blue = easy differentiation.

.

A snail had just bought a beautiful new blue BMW, was finalising all the paperwork and had just been given the keys when he asked the dealer one last request, "Can you paint a big white "S" on both sides for me?"

"Yes, we can do that for you" said the dealer, "But just out of curiosity...why do you want a big white letter S painted on both sides?"

"Well"...said the snail, "When im driving along, everyone will see me and say, "Look at that S car go"

a bit of new re jersey manufactures for 2010.
Manly changing from Reebok to ISC
Dragons changing from Adidas to Reebok (why i don't know, adidas did a great job and at a good price, reebok are just overpriced and never have stock.)
More news as it comes to hand.

Dragons are changing to Reebok because adidas only want to deal with one NRL club at a time. They've of course signed a deal with the Titans for 2010 and beyond, so Saints have to find someone else.

Given that we still have a year to go in our contract with adidas and Reebok is a subsidiary of same it was kind of inevitable that we'd end up with Reebok, for 2010 at least.

it really don't matter who makes the jerseys, unless the prices come down no one will buy them anyway, sales are way way down on last year across the board.
The story on ACA didn't help that ethier.

Yes correct, Reebok and Speedo are run by a company called True Alliance which is owned by parent company Adidas.

I wouldn't mind if Parra went back to CCC(Canterbury). I like the look of the recent CCC merchandise. This is the 4th season Parra have had ISC as their merchandise supplier, and every year they come out with rubbish. Look at this year's sky blue Polo shirt. I rest my case.

Thought I heard somewhere that ISC were about to go belly-up...

From a retailers ponit of view ISC is much better to get stock from and the fact they have 6 teams makes it easy.
I think ISC have really lifted their game in last 18mths and don't forget that all designs have to be approved by the club, so if you don't like the sky blue polo then it is not completely ISC's fault the club has a lot of input.

I'm actually dissapointed that we are going away from Adidas, we finally have decent supporter wear.
