The only position I have a real concern with is hooker. The best remedy to Inglis dominance is our forward pack winning the battle. Hayne should be on the left away from Inglis, Hayne would be taken out of the game. In front of Hodges though he could pose a problem, he is bigger and stronger than Hodges and has good footwork.

Ennis has shown in crucial times he makes poor decisions. Unfortunately so does Farah. His little run from dummy half v the Warriors in the semi final cost them the game, similar to how the kick Ennis put in against QLD game 1 cost us the game.

Who else do we have? Hinchcliffe? De Gois? Buderus? Gidley? Personally I don't like Gidley in crucial situations either but he was decent last year.

Buderus was good in his time and a few pages I said despise his age he should be in the squad. My only concern is his speed. His leadership skills are elite though. Many times in the dragons games he would move up and act on a defensive or attack play and could instantly read it and acted accordingly. He really tried to put in 110% and lead the team around the pack. This is the kinder of hooker we need.

Is he to slow and old for Origin now? Well that's a different story.

I wouldn't think he's too slow, he was getting out of dummy half against the Dragons very quickly. It's a shame the rest of the team weren't backing him up.

Still a long way to go for Bedsy.

Well everyone laughted at me last year when I said Buhrer, so Laugh again. Still think this kid is better then the chance his getting.

Really though, I am agreeing with Dugan at least being on the Wing.

So.

1. Stewart
2. Dugan
3. ?(Jennings)
4. Hayne
5. Uate

Everyone laughed at me last year when I said Hayne should be left centre, look at it now.

Don't agree with Dugan on the wing, would prefer Lawrence maybe as he as wing experience. Jennings and Lawrence could switch and develop a killer combo. Both are 23 years of age so can form a good partnership.

Would have to say Dugan probably a little ahead of Stewart at this stage but both should be given a chance to prove themselves. Either way we will have a gun fullback.

book it :p

No No No most-over-rated player in the centers. Is a nuffy in defense and has probably a few good teams has only represented Australia due to Sheens. If he grabs a blue jersey just hand QLD the series

I think he still has a bit to go before an Origin jersey.

We won't beat QLD's halves nor hooker something like
6: Thurston
7: Cronk (DCE)
9: Smith

Is still strong weaker then the Lockyer combination but sill better then anything we can bring. Our best bet is:
6: Carney
7: Pearce
9: Gidley/ Buderus (No Ennis)

The main area where we can dominate is the wings (Uate was dangerous all last series every-time he ran the ball he was a machine) and the forward pack with players like Bird, Watmough and T-Rex to cause them headache and get some serious meters.

Still the best thing we can do as fans is get behind them and support Sticky and the team 100%

Anyone who saw Wighton against the Titans will know he's origin material. Get him in there now, he's ready.

Truth be told. I did not watch that full game so I can't comment on his full performance there. I'm only commenting on what I've seen far in comparison to others we have available.

R69's comment was tongue in cheek but I think MSIH is actually being serious....

I want to see Carney play some consistent footy before he's even considered for Origin. He was pretty awful yesterday. I'd be looking at Malony way before Carney.

Agreed

Carney was shocking and looks to be lacking confidence. Hell, even Mullen is looking like a better option and that's saying something

Mullen has a gun running game, he's a genuine 5/8 just under uses his running game. If Bennett can get it out of him he should definitely be an option.

Campese will probably take a full season to get back to his best, knee injuries are never good.

1. Josh Dugan
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Michael Jennings
4. Josh Morris / Chris Lawrence
5. Akuila Uate
6. Todd Carney
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. Paul Gallen
9. Danny Buderus
10. Anthony Watmough
11. Beau Scott
12. Greg Bird
13. Luke Lewis

14. Kurt Gidley
15. Tariq Sims
16. Tom Learoyd-Lahrs
17. Tony Williams

No need for 4 specialist props with Gallen playing 65m+ there. Hard men like T Sims and Watmough are capable of pushing up front and are better options than the failed specialist props we've used in the past.

I like that team. Gallen is a machine playing from where he did in Game II and Luke Lewis leadership and skills are elite. He needs to start and he needs to be involved. Even with an invisible (VC) next to his name.

Williams off the bench I agree with 100% he needs to come on later in the game where he faces a tiring QLD pack and just tears in there. If he starts he will struggle.

I will leave a "?" on Carney's head though. He was shocking yesterday if he can find his 2010 confidence again he would be the first name I write down though.

f**k id kill to have Dave Shillington to line up for the blues

He's ran for about 40 hit ups and 350+ yards over the opening 2 weeks. NSW desperately need to find front rowers capable of matching that output. Which is why TLL is an essential start along side Gallen
