All Stars should do what the Barbarians Rugby Union do - the Jerseys are the same, but the player is allowed to wear his club's socks.

Not bad but I think there's value in having the club logo on there as well.

Standard jersey body.
Club socks.
Club logo on jersey.
All Stars shield on jersey.
Player's name on the back.

But of course I also think it should be an Indigenous All Stars vs Islanders All Stars game.

Red Body for Indigenous.
Blue Body for Islanders.

Similar to NFL pro-bowl and Origin. There's something universal about the red vs blue rivalry.

Problem was it was considered white vs black. Political correctness gone mad

There were a few smug, smarmy AFL journos and soical commentators in Melbourne sticking the boot in to league and saying we were a game going backwards because of the "black vs white concept" when the All star game kicked off in 2010.

I called a few of them out on the fact that the whitest thing about players like Jennings, Hayne and Vatuvei was their jerseys.

Overtly avoiding things like that on the basis of race is worse than having them wear white vs black. What about a predominantly white Allstars jersey with a double V in club colours, white shorts and club socks?

I'm such a jersey snob that when I decided to get into ALeague this season, I basically picked my team based on an awesome jersey and sponsor integration

I'm a Sydney FC "supporter" and even I agree the Wanderers jersey is far superior

Newcastle away jersey is bloody good too

Looks good - advertising could be slightly better integrated - but it's bloody good

Funnily enough, the Sydney jersey there doesn't look like it has any advertising.

Whats the difference between a Sydney FC supporter and a Sydney FC "supporter".

And why is there so much soccer talk in here? thought they had their own section on here.

Well that's the 2nd post about soccer you've made and now you've asked a question to continue the soccer chat!

This thread and the crowd watch thread attract a certain kind of fan...theyre pretty much the only two threads I religiously read. Yes, they are 90% about rugby league jerseys and crowds. But jersey thread is for jersey enthusiasts and there is always a touch of union, NFL, soccer jerseys if there is something new to discuss. But over the next month the new designs and training tear will start to be leaked. Same with the crowds thread, invariably afl and union crowds get brought up as a comparison.

Is this what you had in mind GAZF?

These are very very good, you should send these to the NRL, I know most likely nothing will happen but a polite reply but you never know. If you do send these to the NRL don't forget to give credit where credit is due and say it was GAZFs idea.

I don't really like Newcastle's away jersey as it reminds me of Collingwood.

But I absolutely love their home jersey, easily the best in the A-League.

not sold on thhe predominantly white allstars jersey - too plain for me. the idea of the clubs colours if fine but its basically 2 thin coloured stripes on a white t shirt. what if the clubs emblem was sublimated onto the stomach area (as the chest will liekly have sponsorship), kinda like with some of the anzac jerseys where the anzac logo is under the sponsor.

or better yet have club logo's on the crotch area of the shorts like that png team
