Is Storm with BLK or Kooga? I swear I saw Kooga on their 2013 jersey, so was BLK a 1 game deal for the WCC?

Just watching tonight's Crusaders v Blues Super rugby game.. and the Blues are wearing a harlequins-style quartered jersey!

The colours on the jersey representing the unions in the Blues - Northland's cambridge blue, Auckland's dark blue & North Harbour's dark crimson.

Sure Adidas have made a bit of a hash of it by adding stripes, little side panels & a silly crimson bit on the back.. but it's quite unique.

What does everyone else here think of quartered jerseys?

Would you like to see an NRL club use a quartered jersey as an away or alternate strip?

What club colours do you think would look good in that sort of design?

Second best ever. I'm not a fan of changing colours for the away/alternate jerseys (f**k Canterbury's black this year) but love this.

He means the original WCC jersey they released without the world champions tag on it.

Well we've already gone down that slippery slope with the Opel sponsorship with Easts and the AFEX with Souths on the front of the jerseys.

I know it's not as blantent as in the SL but it's only a matter of time.

If the NRL aquires even more jersey sponsors, they must consider releasing quality fan jerseys with reduced sponsorship. I haven't bought any onfield wear in about 4 years because I don't want to be a walking billboard.

I hear what you're saying, all very valid. Personally, I don't mind walking around looking like a billboard as the companies that I'm wearing have put my into the Jets thus helping them to survive.

The NRL is richer than the SL, perhaps the grant that the ARLC gives each team will ensure we don't end up like the SL.

FWIW the AFL clubs seem to have one small sponsor on the front and one or two on the back, that's all we should have, none of this APEX/Opel/nib crap

I like it- simple, smart and easy identifiable. More NRL clubs should follow these guidelines.

I also agree that we should limit sponsors- one major sponsor on the front of the jersey, one sleeve sponsor and one lower back sponsor. Leave upper back for the players' last name. At the moment, we're in danger of looking like some amateur CRL competition where the jerseys look more like NASCAR team shirts...

The V doesn't translate well to other elements. Double vertical stripes on the socks and double horizontal sock stripes would have been a neater update of the classic look.

Still, I don't mind it. It's new and different without being mental about it with swooshes and flashes and side panels etc.
Think the jersey that is worn by the players might end up looking a bit different due to the players cut and it having a proper coat of arms.
