Wow the tigpies even manage the worst movie tie-in jersey to date. Dark knight, Avatar and Star Wars were all far better. Poor Wests fans.

Dark Knight and Star Wars were good. Avatar was terrible. This is somewhere in the middle - so for Tigers fans, it's great.

another view of the Broncs "heritage" jersey. Not sure what's "heritage" about it....

Manly's doing a similar thing with their "heritage jersey" this year. Just the home jersey, with all the players names (including Jason Annear) and all of the logos.

I guess there now should be a clear distinction between:

  • Throwback jerseys - accurate representations of past jerseys with concessions for current sponsors and jersey fit
  • Fauxbacks - representations of past jerseys with modified details, including general design, logo, collars and accompanying shorts/socks. Most heritage jerseys fit into this category
  • Heritage jerseys - non-representations (or mis-representation) of past jerseys that may include past elements but is not insantly recognisable as a throwback or fauxback

And I appreciate that most people couldn't give a shit about these matters.

I think all 3 categories fall into the heritage jersey realm. While some may not be accurate representations of past jerseys if they tell a story of the history of a club then i still see that as honouring their heritage.

What the hell is the idea behind the Bronco's BROWN coloured maroon?
It wasn't always this awful, and it looks horrid on their jerseys this year.

Thank heavens I don't have to bring myself to buy one.
What do Brissy fans think?
