If we don't spend it all on bloody young up and coming potential stars, I'll be happy. They need to show intent. Miss out Sanchez? Fine, move on to the next big target.

I think your biggest problem is wages.

You don't pay the super high wages that other clubs do.

That is why names like Di Maria are linked in the press to United, not Liverpool even though you have CL footy and we don't.

He will want a small fortune to come.

Arsenal have started to pay, hence Sanchez and Ozil rocking up.

On United, if (big if) we sign one or two players of the quality mentioned, we will be looking to win the league. Not just get back to CL.
Hopefully trim the wage bill by offloading half the squad to, to give youngsters are go.

You're right, but offering bigger wages should be part of this intent I talk about. FSG aren't poor, they're just pretty stingy, like Arsenal usually are.

We're still pretty shitty FFP wise aren't we, so you can kiss the big wage offers good bye. We also don't offer big fees to agents like other clubs do. Again all comes down to not being in the right shape financially.

LFC does not need to sign Suarez' replacement in one go but still needs a big signing to send a signal to its rivals. That big signing will be Benzema IMO given James and Falcao are heading to the Bernabeu.

Yes, 30-odd goals do need replacing but this is a defence that conceded 52 in the league last season. That number would be brought down easily in a starting backline that doesn't contain Skrtel and Flanagan (for the time being until he develops). You may not be able to replace Suarez' goals but you can improve your defence which is why the club is focusing on getting Moreno and Lovren.

If Benzema, Lovren, and Moreno come, then really the only weakness in the entire XI is Johnson at RB. You would then have a bench which contains the likes of Can, Coutinho, Markovic, Bony, Allen, and Skrtel, and suddenly we have more squad depth than we've had in the last few seasons.

We don't really need to replace 30 goals. Losing 20 of them and keeping 10 would still be enough as long as the defence is improved. I partly agree with you about Skrtel. When he's paired with a guy that can organise the defence, he excels. But he kind of fails when someone is not leading him around. A Lovren/Sakho partnership could be good, I have a feeling that this could be Sakho's breakout year.

Sakho did well for France with a calm head in Varane partnering him so I'd love us to get Lovren in. Good strong young CB partnership.

Spot on nick. we improve leaking so many goals then we wont have to rely on scoring 100+ to get in the top 4. Still have plenty of time in the window so interesting time ahead for us Liverpool fans I suppose.

What BR needs to work on this transfer window is making the team more balanced. It's this imbalance that's a big reason why we conceded so many goals. More balance will bring a wider goal distribution from the team, and a better defensive shape when we don't have the ball.

Di Maria is rejecting MUFC for Paris. Vidal will stay at Juve. Nobody wants to play for a mid table club with an unproven manager.

Would like Arsenals chances if it wasn't for the massive hand brake managing us.

We'll look like world beaters at time but will get out coached in the games that matter

Juve have never wanted to get rid of Vidal. They are much more keen to lose Pogba in order to keep Vidal.

Not so sure about that, they have just made us a very attractive offer for Paulinho. alot more than we paid for him

I keep reading that they are happy to lose Pogba and keep Vidal. Win won for the really as they'll keep one guaranteed IMO. Pogba would raise them more $$$ IMO.

The link to Paulinho specifically said he was a Vidal replacement.

Then again its transfer window speculation so who knows. If we could cash him in I'd take it, he has been disappointing.

True mate, only takes someone coming in with a offer Juve can't refuse. Nice to be in their situation tho, choosing between Pogba or Vidal.
