Could it be that the ARLC is attempting to lift league's social perception by marketing the big rugby league events to the higher classes via lifting SOO and finals prices, making them more exclusive and artificially desirable?

It may sound far fetched, but it is really just the opposite argument of "giving out free tickets lowers the extrinsic value of the game without significantly increasing attendance". Is the ARLC trying to lift the extrinsic value of the game?

They are probably just trying to maximize revenue. They did a successful job from that perspective, just about selling out Origin but it's a dangerous game.
The ARU did a similar thing in the run up to the RWC 2003 - making it a "premium event" but failed to sell out any of the quarter finals, including the home Wallaby one (vs Scotland at Suncorp) and it was all pretty much downhill from there. They now can't sell out ANZ for the Bledisloe, even on a Saturday evening.

Yeah they failed with pricing last year for the bledisloe at Suncorp. It only pulled 45k.

The prelim should still sell out. Hopefully!

PAX 28,270ish

You cannot buy more then 1 ticket in the Bulldogs Cat 1 n 2 had to settle for Cat 3 (bay 55)

The crowd will be roughly 32K IMO which will look pretty good on TV

I think you give them too much credit! Smith is probably used to Twickers prices and can't understand why nrl games are so cheap in comparison.

 We got allocated 6 Cat 1 bays... 3 have sold out, the other 3 have minimal tickets available... As you said the Roosters cannot and don't look like selling out there bays, so the Dogs have stepped in to help by being allocated Bay 12. As of yesterday the PAX number was at 24,400 meaning approximately 8,000 are Roosters and 16,000 Bulldogs...

Moore park on a Friday Night is a nightmare for people living in South Western/Western Sydney...

More crap.

Roosters Cat 1 tickets were allocated from bays 36-33 & bays 13 & 15.

Bays 12 and 14 (either side of halfway were neutral bays opened up to all fans), the Bulldogs got 2 Cat 1 bays on the Western and Eastern side.

As of 2 minutes ago:

All this talk about how the Dogs are taking over yet I can still get 10 tickets in a row in the Bulldogs supporter section.

Dogs fans will make a good showing but they'll be outnumbered and you're just leaving yourself open for criticism.

It's like Syd supporters all live in fear of being outnumbered by roosters supporters!? The horror!

How does you doing random ticketek searches prove it either way?

About as grasping at straws as selective Ben Cummins stats
