Yep couldn't agree more.
From all reports the seats behind the sticks at the rebuilt ANZ will be the steepest incline in the country, even better viewing than Suncorp if that's even possible.
The Incline on the touch lines first level will be comparable with Suncorp. 2nd/3rd/4th/5/6 levels will have a steeper incline then Suncorps top levels. We also get the roof which gets rid of any excuse us Sydney siders might have about the weather.
Yeah... I think a massive amount of the upper deck categories would be given out to sponsors to distribute how they wish.
Yep, initially the new ANZ Stadium will have ticket sales explode, at almost any price, people will be so keen to go. The NRL better be careful though, because as good as a new stadium can be, the novelty will wear off quickly is the price points are too high. The NRL clearly requires far better ticketing strategies.
As for the redevelopment itself, I don't think the upper deck is that saveable - though behind the sticks will be great, apparently "comparable" to Suncorp. I cannot wait to attend.
Canberra was 9,157
perth better not have 1 single seat empty on sunday
But but but!Mine won't be full, or the 8-9 I usually buy for friends, off to the car racing instead. Be interesting to see what the reaction to no expansion is and this weekend will be a test of it. Might just be me that's had enough or there might be many RL fans in Perth feeling the same. Given Souths have drawn 20k plus last two years should be interesting. Bundling it with test match was smart and will have helped I suspect.

agreed with this, and have seen a fair bit of Raiders stuff around the place since moving down here. They have the nucleus of a very good side, and one that should continue to be strong for a few seasons (a lot of players with improvement in them). Hopefully it continues, would much rather see them in lights and the dodgy old Brumbies fade away.poor crowd but thats about the raiders floor so it was just hardcores for whatever reason. I think the Raiders have done alright this year. First crowd under 10k this year. They averaged under 10k last year.
Stuart and the Raiders are doing a good job reconnecting with the fanbase imo. There will never be HUGE crowds in canberra but they are on track for their best average in like a decade with a few good crowds towards the end of the season.
Off to the car racing!!
Hypocritical...spend your lifetime in this thread bagging every other team's crowds and crapping on about how dedicated Perth fans are. One game this year and off to the "car racing"! LMAO. It's amazing how monsoonal rain, disgraceful traffic, horrible form, expensive tickets, etc etc, aren't valid excuses for non hardcore fans in Sydney, and yet the "car racing" is a valid excuse for a hardcore "Perth fan".
Given origin ratings, it's little wonder Perth don't have a team. Hello Adelaide!!
First Perth NRL game I've missed in 16 years of being here, f**k them. When Todd decides Perth is a priority I'll start putting money back into it. Until then I'm enjoying a weekend in Albany watching historic car racing with the the $400 I usually put into the nrl's coffers.
