On closer inspection, Blake might be able to mount a case that the incident was caused when he was impeded by the blocker (Elliott) when intending to contest the ball. That certainly appears to be what James Fisher-Harris thought happened when he pushed Elliott.

Most likely he'll just accept the guilty plea though.

Sit down, he got charged despite being helped along by the Knights blocker.

Yes let us all shut up because the NRL has made up yet another bullshit rule to suspend people for that never existed prior to last roun

Hodgson charged but won't miss a match.

Try rip an opponent's head off, that's OK, just don't bump shoulders or politely touch the referee.

I cant help but think he has the dally ms on the back of his mind. Its possibly going to be pretty close and losing 3 points would be big.

If the only difference is a few more carry over points might as well roll the dice

Ridiculous that Hodgson decision. One of the worst tackles of the year and he gets a slap on the wrist.

Why? Just because a bloke gets injured doesn't mean the other bloke should get suspended.

I'd be happy with a grade 1.

You would think he should be, especially considering he hit him with a closed fist and what looked like a stiff arm. Falling or not, it may not have been intentional, but it was reckless and it did result in a broken jaw. Yet James is not happy and is going to fight it.

If he is found not guilty it just shows the Judiciary is as farcical as it ever was.

Because opposition forward packs will think it's OK to do that sort of stuff knowing they'll get off lightly

It's not even the first time it's happened to him this year

Vs Cronulla Luke Lewis swinging arm to head
Vs Knights Sims knock to the head
In SOO Corey Parker elbow to the face

And now this

Didn't the NRL come out after the Jordan McLean tackle on McKinnon and say that injury does play a role in the suspension? Pretty sure I remember something like that

Ryan James fighting his charge..seriously?

Do they really need him against the Knights
I suspect it's because going to the judiciary doesn't mean extra weeks, rather than having a strong case, which he doesn't have in my view.

Gotta love the MRC. Finucane touches the ref on the back pretty blatantly last night and not charged

Hodgson definitely got lucky on that charge. Looked worthy of a grade 2 to me. Ill take it though
