Considering how hyped up they were at the start of the season, record membership and recent form I would've expected atleast 15k

I'll change poor to "average"

Hopefully a sell out crowd this weekend boosts those numbers

Yeah I'm surprised it's not bigger because of the hype. Even finishing in finals last year should have helped. Hopefully it grows in coming years.

Most big Sydney clubs have been f**ked around due to shithouse scheduling.

Take notice of Bulldogs, Eels, Dragons aswell.

Next year if the nrl aren't incompetent your mob should do vastly better I'd say

Good on the roosters for trying to boost their numbers.

A lot better than Castle and fat Richo just putting their hands out and accepting mediocrity.
Dogs & Souths(Perth & Cairns) take games away from ANZ as well, Sadly No one in Perth really wants to go to the Football. They just want to come into this thread and complain.

The problem has always been crap scheduling ,mainly involving ANZ.
Get the scheduling right with these blockbusters and you're half way there, get the Parramatta and reconfigured ANZ stadium up and running and you are 99.9% of the way there.
Throw in the new weight and age comps for juniors ,and I can see a decent light at the end of a current sh*tty bat infested tunnel .
Just to throw a few around.
Friday 6pm should mainly involve Warriors,Thursday nights spread over the lot .Sunday arvo for the 5 club blockbusters in the main.
Sharks ,Penrith and Cows saturday nights in the main.Storm Friday nights, sunday 4pm.
Raiders and Newcastle afternoons .Titans Sat nights.Broncs Friday and Sunday arvo.

And if the NRL gets off its cheeks ,get two new teams ,and the flexibility for scheduling is even better..
Just get more families to the games and the crowds can almost double or at least go up by 50% at the blockbusters ,.
And get the blockbuster teams to play entertaining football and not play like park players.

If it were me I'd be flicking 6pm Fridays and have 4pm Sundays in its place.Thursday nights will always be a h5rad sell.

Thanks to Gosford and Adelaide (and well done Roosters for taking your games to places people want to watch them)

Yep not discrediting them in that regard, but for such a historic club in such red hot form ATM (not to mention the last few years) their Sydney home crowd should be a lot better

Or maybe it just can't be better because they have a small fan base

so Easts (and Dragons) build a fixture into a must-attend event. That doesn't excuse poor performance from the rest of the Sydney clubs. Bulldogs/souffs have a big Easter match, yet these two clubs have awful crowd average this year.

Congrats Roosters!

They are somewhat land locked in their supporter base and don't seem to have been able to stretch into broader Sydney markets. Their crowds are a bit Jekyll and Hyde but 14k is around norm for them it seems. Taking 2-3 games to Gosford would be a good idea for them and the RL fans of Gosford. Having said that the Eastern suburbs have a population of around 237k. That's as many as my birth city and we have three clubs; two RL drawing 13k and 8k and a soccer club that draws 20k in a similar population, so 20k shouldn't be out of the question if RL is popular.
Then someone else can pick up 1-2 games in Adelaide as a secondary fanbase to boost their numbers.

Lol, you came in here attempting to gloat and you're now having a whinge when people are having a go back at you.

Roosters average home attendance at SFS - 14652
Without the ANZAC day match - 11376

Also, your last three home matches have had crowds below 10k.

Well done on having so much success on the field this year. Have only dropped out of the top 4 once that I recall.
