Anyhow I know it's only footy, but gee it's bit of a swallow feeling today knowing it's another year done and dusted and another 6 months before we are back playing again.......

Go for it. It seems a theme amongst a couple on here to criticise me for having the audacity to be stuck in a shitty town in a situation where I can't get to many or any games. Personally I think it's bartman-esque straw clutching...which is probably because he was the one who started it. Which, you know, HILARIOUS given he won't travel 10km to ANZ stadium because he doesn't like the seats...

I can't see anything either of him posts and I don't care that you never go to games, there's plenty of people who support Parra that can't get to games. But criticising me for leaving a game with 5 minutes to go when we let in a 3rd consecutive soft try of the half is easy when you aren't there isn't it?

I've driven to plenty of Cronulla, Kograh/Wollongong, Allianz, brookvale, central coast and Newcastle and Canberra games (mostly on my own cause most people don't want to see us lose that far away) where as you would know we have shit records, if you think that is a fair weather fan becaus I have left early then good on you.

It's not "only footy" to me so yes it is hollow. Maybe also when you get so close to something as an Eels fan you just never know when we'll get back there. I know logically BA has us in a different state than previously and we are looking like we are on the way up but history just can't let me forget that we've been here so many times only to go backwards the next year........

It's nothing to do with me thinking I'm a better fan, and absolutely nothing to do with "not being at the game". I do not believe in walking out on the side. I think it's a shit thing to do. I know if I was playing and I looked up and saw the fans jumping ship I'd hardly want to play well for the pricks.

If you disagree, more power to you, but that's simply what I think.

That's your problem, you think you are too smart for everyone. Never once have I suggested I'm a better than anyone! I'm pointing out that you called me a fair weather fan and I'm pointing out the type of fair weather fan I am.

If I were a player and I got 40k fans out to see me I wouldn't blame them for leaving early when I put in a shit performance but that's me, I'm a realist.

Anyways, you're a legend and I'm a loser. Carry on.

I'm wondering what his chances are to start in FG next year. I don't think it's likely at this stage, but you never know. He is an absolute beast in the 20's, but maybe he needs a season in Reserve Grade to develop further.

I came so close to walking out of some shitty Aussie horror movie years ago (it was such a small movie I can't even remember the title), but I just had to stay to see if the ending would make up for the utter garbage that came before it.
It didn't. If anything it made it even worse.

I can't put my finger on it,but it didn't engage me at all.

Plus my fiancee was feeling suck, so we made the decision to leave.

But since then, I've tried re-watching it on Foxtel, and I can't finish it.
