Just to add to the discussion. We went to the Panthers xmas party and it was easier to get from the central coast to Penrith than from Penrith to the inner city afterwards. We went to the aquarium.

Agree, 'heartland' has taken the code granted for decades and as a result the code stood still with empty seats and endless excuses. Look at souths/roosters, 100 year clubs playing in front of empty stadiums after all that time yet the swans outdraw both which is embarrassing for 'the pride of the league'.

Souths v Easts played in front of just under 60000 in the final round of 2013. The support is there. Just don't think it's promoted or nurtured too well.

Actually the raiders are pretty poorly supported in comparison to the Sharks.

Canberrans don’t really support their one team very well

Correct, so 4.65% of the ACT are members, where the Sharks get 7.09% membership.
