Lol we can’t even give seats away in Sydney. How many members would have got admission today if they could have been arsed to turn up? I dont buy the no marketing, if your a fan you know when your team is playing, you’d have known about the reciprocal membership free entry and you’d have known about the cheap ticket deal, we’ve got massive social media reach ffs.
We have too many teams and not enough fans that care is the reality.

On the plus side this fixture next year in the new stadium draws a 75% capacity crowd and will look and sound great!

But what is effective marketing? I don’t really watch TV or listen to the radio. I watch streaming services and listen to streaming music or podcasts. That’s pretty typical for people in their 20s and 30s.

Beg to differ. Radio is very effective. Especially when driving. TV is very effective as it is still highly viewed. I note that when the Swans are having a home game they are always advertising on the sports channel I listen to. The states the price of a general ticket and where and when. The NRL is not doing this for a game like todays. They did promote that ANZAC DAY games but not the others. Even if it is in interviews leading up to the game. The game and any deals need to be mentioned. This stuff makes a difference. It's not happening for most of the games. What dissappointshould the most is that these games are discussed but any specials etc are not emphasized well or at all. It's just a really amateurish approach compared to what a code like the AFL is doing. And we all know that is crap compared to rugby league.. However myths can be sold well to unsuspecting general public. Rugby league marketing is lazy for most games.

Does this horse know that you have to pay for adverts?!! That marketing people can't just hijack tv stations and put in adverts!! Does this shetland pony realise that fans of the game know when the games are on and putting adverts out is like preaching to the converted!!

Perhaps you might ask the AFL why a paid advert exists on SKY Sports radio every week leading into a home game? This undeserving code has achieved well over 30000 to each home game so far. Idiots like yourself cannot see the value in promoting an NRL game then 17000 on a Sunday between two very popular clubs (at least they were popular) is the result . On top of that it was the only game in Sydney! You are a derelict and have proven your lazy and negligent mindset once again! Even if the "bargains" were mentioned in interviews leading up to this particular game it would have helped! But you cant see that? Dummy!

If you see one code promoting their game and the other not and one achieves a good attendance(30000plus) at night, and the other (that doesn't inform people via adverts or smart chatter on radio/tv) and gets 17000 on a Sunday in Sydney? You are simply delusional? My word the dummies are showing they are truelly out of their depth in this forum! Commonsense isn't a feature at all!

Lol. States the expert advocating no advertising or talking up a game(and its value deals) that should have had a minimum of 30000 in attendance and got 17000! Dumb!

No . You are the embarrassment you peanut! Fancy thinking their is no marketing issue when only a 17000 turn up for two attractive local Sydney clubs with no opposition or other games on in Sydney? Keep wallowing in your gutter dummy! Lazy marketing is a main factor in this poor turn out. Turn a blind eye to that and you are truelly a fool.

You need to give it a rest. Without any marketing or advertising at least 40 000 members of these two clubs know that they were playing each other at their shared home stadium. these members will have had the shit marketed out of them, and probably already had paid to be at the game.

Swans have over 50 000 members. Do you think that all of this marketing for game day on the wireless is just dragging casuals off the street to come watch this crap, or maybe their attendance is somehow related to the number of members they have.
