Again I'm not one for the code wars, but mate seriously it's not hard to find if you are looking for it, hell this is just one google search...

I'm sure if I really tried that I could dig up much more and much better examples, but I can't be bothered.

Even so though, if that doesn't convince you then just watch a couple episodes of the Backpage live or Offsiders, if RL gets a mention at all it's almost always compared in a negative way to the AFL.... Or just wait for a scandal to hit the AFL and for the articles to come out that's whole premise are "yeah it's bad, but it's worse in the NRL!".

Look man I don't care about the code wars at all, but if you really think that they exist only in RL or that it's not present in AFL or Melbourne, or whatever it is that you are suggesting, then you've got blinkers on! Every code, every sport even, has their code warriors, that includes Melbourne and the AFL!
That last one student edge or something are they real students? Sounds like autistic screeching, ‘afl is better because it has bigger crowds with fans who care and even has a Brownlow medal and is old as well.’ Spot on with all those roar articles so many afl posters come over to the league stories to spew there nonsense. That clipper laughing about the World Cup while praising the Afls overseas endeavours without a hint of irony.

Not rocket science but canberra will struggle to crack 10k, they crossed to the ground on fox league about 30mins ago and the weather looked atrocious.

I'll double check with RD but I think a sheep with a meth addiction stumbled onto a major road. Fire & Ambulance are on the way but could be a while after responding to a public servant's paper cut all the way across town.

Not only was the crowd 90'000 in Melbourne on Wednesday but the game was such a massive hit everywhere. Almost 4 million viewers, top program in 5 major cities even Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne where there was a 15% increase than last year. Dominated social media as well.

Thumbs up for Rugby League

Regarding the never ending AFL v. NRL in Victoria debate - I know plenty of people who have an interest in the Storm and rugby league in general but how interested they are varies. Even for those who support the Storm it's still AFL first and Storm second. I genuinely have never come across anyone who has any kind of hostility towards rugby league in Melbourne, though - it seems to only exist on the internet.

During the pre-game at the MCG this week I believe they were promoting a 50% off deal for the Storm v. Broncos game this Sunday when presenting a State of Origin ticket. I don't remember hearing anything beyond that though so hopefully it gets pushed a little more.

12k on the Coast?
Dunno what the Titans do in terms of marketing but I reckon their coach should talk them up at every opportunity.

"Yeah, we struggled today but this team is showing plenty of heart and locals should get out and support them."

Then big drops of "Our State of Origin reps, Jarrod Wallace and Jai Arrow!" placed prominently for traffic passing CBUS.

The difficulties with SQ and Wallace off the pace in Origin 1 have counted against them but the potential is there.

Board the place up and tell the GC to f**k off back to their lines of coke. It is just as embarrassing as the constantly empty ANZ Stadium but sadly that shit isn't ever changing. Don't worry about the Suns, they'll follow suit soon enough. Give Brisbane their second team.

Friday night football used to be an event. No matter the club.

The endless matches on stupid days and dilution of Friday nights has done some harm. Definitely on the GC.

Canberra is a poor crowd but understandable. 6pm timeslot. Raining. Public holiday so everyone leaves Canberra. Half the people I know left yesterday.

Christchurch on track to sell out...

https://i.stuff.co.nz/the-press/new...winner-from-sea-eagles-showdown-with-warriors

Christchurch's economy is set to receive a multimillion-dollar boost thanks to Saturday's rugby league showdown.

The New Zealand Warriors will look to return to their winning ways against a battling Manly Sea Eagles side at the city's "spiritual home of rugby league" - the vevnue

Walco Events has co-ordinated and organised the fixture, with director Justin Wallace saying the city stands to win big.

"Christchurch Airport have run a report ... based on visitors coming from out of town – they're estimating the impact in the region of $10 million," Wallace said.

More than 2700 tickets have been purchased outside Canterbury. By 6pm Friday, less than 2000 of 17,800 tickets remained.

1967 - Cronulla enter the comp, gimping St George for a good decade or so. Fans of other clubs rejoice.

2007 - Gold Coast enter the comp, gimping the Broncos for more than a good decade. Fans of other clubs rejoice despite losing the war.
