Smiffy busts his arse to scrape us to 284...now poms to comfortably get a matchwinning lead and their numpty opener is somehow leading the way.

Ellen Root now has 42 fifties vs 16 hundreds.

Burns scoring a hundred gives hope to all plodders out there.

Pretty even test match provided we can get some early wickets early day 3
Cant get them get ahead by more than 100 hopefully

Rain forecast for days 4 and 5.

LOL - pretty even test match as long as things turn on their head immediately... bit like the Warriors saying at half time, it's pretty even as long as we score 5 quick tries after half time

They might, but at this stage there's nothing even about it

I'd say that if one of our batsmen can get a big partnership with Smith than we're in a great position bowling on a worn out pitch with cloud cover on the last two days.
But we will need to start well tomorrow.

We probably have 100 less runs if he did- Siddle scores 44 and put on 80+

So what? He is there to bowl not score big runs

If the top 3 did their job we should have been closer to 400 not 8-122.

But it's okay, second innings specialist Dave will save the day...
