Not many notable games this weekend.
Texas v Rice, that old rivalry that got a shout out in Kennedy's "we chose to go to the moon" speech.
The Irish play their first home game v New Mexico Lobos.
Maybe Ohio State v Indiana will be interesting. OS by 50.
The most interesting could be Stanford v UCF. Stanford looks like they are in decline as a program while this is the kind of competition UCF needs t5o win to get taken more seriously.

There are a couple of other reasonable rivalries this weekend. They're the sort of games where one team is absolutely favoured, but the form book can sometimes go out the window.

Penn State/Pitt and Iowa/Iowa State.

Notre Dame @ Georgia this weekend. Average ticket price is $600plus. 93k seat stadium.
I guess there is the secondary ticket market to think about but that equates to gate takings alone of $60mill.

After that performance against Wisconsin even though Harbaugh had 2 weeks to prepare for them, I gotta think TTUN might be looking for a new coach this offseason.

I really don't think Clemson deserve to be number 1

Texas A&M were their single ranked opponent on their schedule until a potential match up with Virginia in the ACC championship game.

Bama have not been tested yet either but their schedule gets real tough.

Auburn and LSU most impressive so far IMO.

Pac 12 has been great too with weekly ranked match ups.

I think Ohio State and Oklahoma are the top 2 teams. I haven't checked the latest on Hiesman trophy updates but it would not surprise me if Justin Field was the new favourite. Quite a few of the recruiters thought he was better than Trevor Lawrence coming out of high school. It is proving to be the case so far this year. But it is early days and what Trevor Lawrence did against Bama last year will supersede everything until the play offs.

USC @ Notre Dame is the great rivalry game this weekend. Surely it will be on ESPN out here. Can't believe ND v Georgia was not televised out here a few weeks ago.

Edit: should add to that Texas Longhorns v Oklahoma Sooners battle it out in the Red River Shootout.

This Boise State blue ground is interesting and unique and all, but I cant watch a game there. It must be hard for players to pick up where the ball is.
