Lots of single seat bays already at Souths v Panthers. Will be interesting to see if/when level 6 gets opened up. Am I right that Accor is around 44k level 1 - 16k level 4 - 20k level 6?

Yes, pretty close to those figures.

Wouldn't be surprised to see them open up Level 4 on the other side soon, especially as the biggest group of Cat 1s you can buy is 3.

Nice to see additional Bays opening up for the Prime Minister’s Challenge at Suncorp as well.

60k is good but once it’s 70k plus the atmosphere really does get so much better

it literally is south’s home ground

I would love a sellout and it should be really. Nevertheless, the atmosphere will still be really good.

Accor Stadium members will fill one side of level 4 as well the player tunnel side. Souths have quite a few supporters that are Accor members.

I am not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but the AFL is having a magic round in Sydney the weekend after Easter. Clearly Gil has been drinking his own bath water. As if any game (even a double or triple header) not involving the Swans will draw over 15k. Sat @ ACCOR as well. NRL needs to fixture some big games to squash this concept first time around.

Spent too long in the Melbourne bubble, You are correct that very few people will show up to it.

This is also why Accor stays the shape it is

It’s ridiculous that it hasn’t been turned into a rectangular stadium just so that fumbleball can play their one poorly attended match there.

Well the AFL paid a nominal fee after the olympics so the NSW govt would keep it oval.

Then recent plans to make it rectangular were quashed because of COVID and funds diverted to SFS.

I know about the history. It is still ridiculous.

I suppose the idea no one loses a home game is interesting. So just add an extra round where no one gets advantage or disadvantage its all neutral.

Should the NRL go down that path play 25 games not 24 games with the magic round so everyone still gets 12 home games.
