Level 4 west is never on public sale as it is all for stadium members. Level 4 east is almost all sold except for the corners. These will be put on sale as soon as the centre bays are gone.
Is also doesn't look like Level 3 north has been put on sale yet, surely this will be available soon.

I think the one thing lost on people is the Swans are the biggest sporting team in Sydney, because millions in Sydney support them as their team in the AFL.

However, 99% of these people are secondary supporters, who are drawn from mainly NRL fanbases. These people are fans of the SYDNEY Swans as their home town team, and are not fans of Australian Rules Football as a sport. Thus, unopposed big Swans games should theoretically get big ratings and sell out based on NRL fans who dig out their 2012 GF scarf.

Same with Storm in Melbourne...Roy Morgan says they have over 1 million fans, but 99% of them again would be secondary fans who are primarily AFL fans. Storm ratings were 608,000 for 2020 GF in Melbourne, and their home prelims historically attract 28-30k, yet they don't sell out every regular season game.

This idea that the swines have enormous support is not backed up data
they averaged about 29500 in 2022
put 5000 to 7000 scg members in there for most games & consider they're really the only racistball team in Sydney with 5.5 million people to draw on & Id say they aren't a big deal at all
plus their tv ratings are usually appalling

I live on the mid-north coast, there`s fumbleball posts on the main oval in the centre of town for a few years now. They sit there year-in, year-out unused amongst the unmowed grass.
Cricket season starts soon, the oval will be mowed and the posts disappear until next year only to sit there for another winter amongst the long grass. I still think it must be a terrible game for kids.

Yeah this does a good job summing things up. It’s also why GWS have struggled for a foothold. The swans are basically synonymous with AFL in Sydney.

It’s home to the Sydney AFLW team plus junior kiddies play there as well

Not really AFL is the white person's game, I'd much rather concentrate on the growing multicultral areas of NSW\QLD. As opposed to trying to convert those who see a sport as a fad

As we build crowds and play out of proper stadiums, not some local park, then nrl games will also take on event status as must do sports events.
being with 10k in a run down ground isn’t getting anyone excited to get off the couch. 30k at commbank, that’s a different story And starts to sell itself.
I laid out $300 to stay an extra night in Sydney this year as the eels v panthers game was an event I considered worthy of attending.

yeah there are tons of inner city pubs in Brisbane that run both AFL and NRL on the main screens.... I never see any huge demand to watch the AFL in any of them
