Some ideas for 2024

Melbourne should play at home for the following rounds. at least a couple of those.
- Round 1 or 2 before the AFL round 1
- Easter Thursday (AFL traditionally play in Brisbane)
- When AFL Gather Round is on
- Final NRL round/AFL Pre Finals bye.

Brisbane regardless of what happens tomorrow should get good home crowds
- Start the season against lower drawing teams, like Knights or Raiders to maximize attendances. if you get 45k+ to Broncos v Cows regardless, why have that as round one? Have that game round 6.

Dolphins
- Don't play in Brisbane on the same weekend as Broncos, gives the city a game each week across the season.

Titans
- Develop marquee games eg. Easter &/or May Long weekend when people are down the coast for holidays.
- Where possible don't clash with Broncos or Dolphins games on the same day. e.g. Broncos at 8pm don't have Titans at 6pm.

Continue building on the Easter Round marquee games.
- Easter Thursday in Melbourne
- Good Friday at Accor
- Good Friday evening - Dolphins/Cowboys - Suncorp or QCB
- Sunday afternoon/evening - Titans at Home
- Easter Monday

Big Sydney game like Souths v Easts, etc have 1 game on Thursday or Friday night & the return game on Sunday afternoon. won't happen because channel 9.....

Thursday night
- play lower drawing earlier in the season. Places like Newcastle or Canberra should get good crowds early in the year. later in the year can fall back to the stronger drawing teams, broncos, souths, etc
e.g Thursday Nights Round 1 - Broncos v Knights, Round 2 Knights v ?, Round 3 Raiders v ?, Round 4 Sydney based side, etc

Really good post. A first world problem for us is that we will be scheduled a heap of Thursday night games in 2024, and I prefer them to be against poorer drawing teams. I want to open the Suncorp season against a club like the Dragons. New year for them, and quite a few fans in SEQ - would almost guarantee 40k. Then save the Thursdays for smaller drawing clubs because I'd rather 25k against Newcastle/Canberra/Tigers/Sharks etc on a Thursday than ruining a possible 40k crowd against the others. Cowboys and Dolphins are a Friday night must, IMO.

Would love to have weekends with no double booking of Suncorp. Stadium members barely go twice a week but most would should handle once a week.

ANZAC day is a Thursday next year, the crowds could be enormous if scheduled correctly given half the nation will put in an annual day on Friday. Good opportunity to add some ANZAC day rivalries like we have with the Dragons v Roosters and Melbourne vs Warriors.

The Storm should also host a night game on the Sunday before Labour Day in Victoria on the 2nd Monday of March
