The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

That's huge if they're on track for that. It's neither the most ideal time slot and I thought the two losses (although the team was competitive in both matches) may have hurt the opening crowd.

Bulldogs faithful are out in force following the win over the Storm. How many does Belmore hold these days? I know they named 19,000 back in 2015 for the Sharks match, but can we expect a similar number this weekend?
Around 17/18k I think.
Hoping we get good roll on in next couple games, Good Friday could have huge crowd 40k+ I reckon

It's going to be interesting to see what the Allianz crowd will be this Friday night with the new pricing strategy set by the Roosters.

This is Category 1 adult tickets:

I knock off at 8pm on Friday and work nearby so thought I could miss the first 20 or so but then I saw the prices so gave it a miss lol.

Cat 1 tickets sold out.

It looks like the prices were spot on...

From a financial perspective I am sure it is.

But for my admittedly unique situation it doesn't add up. If I am paying that for a ticket in the nosebleeds I will wait until I can get the full experience.

A bit disappointing to see. The ticket prices will be the primary reason the Roosters vs Rabbitohs doesn't sell out...especially with the current cost of living pressures + the weather looks like it won't be an issue.

That said, ticket sales appear to be trending up this week and 35,000 is starting to look like it might be at the lower end of the spectrum if the uptick continues through to game day.

Sydney FC plays Western Sydney Wanderers the next day at Allianz, it'd be nice to see a bit of friendly competition to get the better crowd (the Sydney Derby is also trending to a crowd "well over 30,000").
Well of course, every soccer fan in Sydney will be there. There's only two relevant soccer clubs in Sydney, where as Souths and Easts are 2 of 9

I agree but I just hope the NRL game gets more people at the ground the Suckka as if they don't the Ass League fans be bagging that A-League is bigger then NRL plus remember not that long ago the whole hype of West Sydney Wankers saying they were bigger then the Eels.
That's like the Swans saying they are bigger than RL in Sydney because their single club (Giants are irrelevant and half Canberra) has a higher average than all NRL teams.

Why? Every AFL fan in Sydney goes for the Swans, and 99% of Sydney primary NRL fans who have a vague interest in Victorian Rules would be bandwagoners for the Swans.

So yes, Sydney FC should theoretically have high crowds because they were the original A league team for a city of 5 million

AFL and A League: 5 million ÷ 2 teams = 2.5 million per team

NRL: 5 million ÷ 9 teams = 555,555 per team.

Yet each League averages around 14k in Sydney. Theoretically with less games and teams they should be higher if they claim to be "more popular". But our aggregate destroys them

In conclusion the fact that nearly all RL teams outdraw the soccer and are getting closer each year to the Swans shows just how big our game is in Sydney. It's just maths

RUGBY LEAGUE RULES IN SYDNEY, AND ANYONE WHO SAYS ANYTHING ELSE IS A LIAR OR SEVERELY DELUDED

Speaking of, looks like ticket sales have continued to trend up (based on my analysis of the remaining seats haha) for Roosters vs Rabbitohs and we could be looking at a crowd of 37,000+ tomorrow night.

I estimate just shy of 19,000 tickets have been sold to the general public (approximately 83% of the available seats for the general public), with just under 4,000 still available for sale.

If the same percentage is applied to members seating (a big if, but humour me), that equates to almost 17,000 members tickets.

It'd be quite something for 3/5 biggest sporting crowds at Allianz being for the Roosters vs Rabbitohs in the stadium's first 6 months.

The Cowboys just sent members and email with an update on their total member tally (17,576).

But I note for they have mentioned that we have 9,600 "Full Season" Members, which is a new record.

I wonder if this is going to be the new way they count memberships?
