Off topic but my neighbour on the central coast must be the only person who pays for Giants tickets
Born in NSW, he spent his life teaching in Victoria. Retiring to CC he tried to become a member of the Swans but they had standing room only, so he joined GWS. So every 2nd week he goes out dressed like a Pox Doctor’s Clerk and shouts “ball” in Sydney or Canberra.
He is just back from Adelaide, which was one of the great football experience.
Devotion like that shows the herd mentality that produces the AFL crowds

Showgrounds for league games is on par with accor. The atmosphere was good at games too especially with the upgrades funded by the state govt and the afl

maybe a swap where the giants take their 5k crowds to accor and the dogs go back to the Showgrounds which has perfect capacity for them

the Showgrounds will look good finally with a decent crowd in attendance

Suncorp is valuable as it’s the only rectangular stadium in Brisbane so gets a lot of use. Another stadium in Sydney is competing with three others for tenants and events.
