The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

The plus of having every club play at large central venues, makes it a lot easier to roll out competition wide promotions like this. If the NRL tried to roll it out, the messaging would be like 'Kids in free except at Pointsbet Stadium, 4 Pines Stadium and Kayo Stadium and potentially not at Belmore Oval, Leichhardt Oval, Campbelltown Stadium Stadium & Penrith Stadium'

Anyway, whilst I'd love for more to make cheaper for kids to go to matches, a bigger lever mover (in my opinion) would be if the game actually did proper variable pricing. As it currently stands, most clubs charge higher prices for their bigger/more popular games, but few do any proper reductions for their 'dud' matches.

If they are worried about their members reactions, allow the members to bring someone along for nothing / cheap.
That’s why it needs to be centrally funded and directed but rolled out individually by the clubs in our case. The Warriors pretty much do it already with cheap capped price family tickets for the GA areas.

Crowds have been rubbish all year there, when was the last time they cracked 10k?

There's been about 4 or 5 games in Wollongong so far. One game against the Bulldogs, there was a crowd of over 16,000.

So last night was the wooden spoon blockbuster played on a Thursday night. In a season where the Dragons have been rubbish throughout. Along the way, a coach has been sacked and a key player wants to leave.

Apart from all of that, everything's fine.

Best to get that rubbish out of the way on the night that everyone suddenly becomes a fan of women’s soccer

(Did anyone else note the paleness of the legs of the Irish team)

2 very good crowds then it falls off a cliff with their form and the Hunt drama so no great surprise. Kogarah has been similar from memory with 2 15k+ Vs Souths & Sharks, the rest sub 10k.

I was at last night's game and I tell you it was one for the diehards.

It was mainly 18-25 year olds, Pensioners, and Dads who went by themselves given its a school night. Not an appetising fixture for families at all.

But it was good fun!

I thought the warriors were expecting a crowd approaching 25k??

Also why would souths take a plum fixture against the broncos to a tiny stadium?

seems like such a waste.
